I think if he did go to OT everything he's ever said since not getting the job last year re Chelsea would be thrown back at him and Chelsea fans would never let him forget it ...
Had he gone directly from RM then so be it, but he didn't ...
He'd be the mercenary to end all mercenaries ... And he'd have to sell Mata of course, or would he?
It'd be entertaining though whatever, but it's no guarantee of success ... Top four maybe but winning stuff ... Chelsea might not win anything this year ...

It may be part of the reason he's had a face like a slapped fish for the last month or so. He could probably see the writing on the wall for Moyes & knows it'd be almost impossible for him to just head up the M40/M6. He really needed Moyes to last another year.Had he gone directly from RM then so be it, but he didn't ...

I said it on tuesday & i'm still convinced Mourinho is destined to be at United next season.
I'm inclined to agree as JM is behaving erraticly by his own standards. This paranoia towards referees does him no favours.Having said that:
I just wonder if the Glazers will balance up their investment risk: Van Gaal v Mourinho.
If they are looking for a quick boost to results and stock price in order to sell some or all of their stake, the Mourinho could be their man.
United were dumb not to get him in the first place. All of the overtures he made indicated he wanted to come to the club, and look what he's managed to do with Chelsea - with a team that was probably worse on paper than Man Uniteds at the start of the year. Would be amazed if he moved over to them now really.

Yes it was obvious to all that he was desperate to manage United and had Sir Alex not had such a big say in who his successor was then Maureen would have been given the job imo.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
