How many games and against who? Not proving FA![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
Ah hello Mr Chips!![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
The football has been dire all season as the man in charge failed to have the balls to cut loose.
Giggs will do this thus proving that the inherent talent to play good football still exists within this current squad.
And with a couple of shrewd additions over the summer, the right confident man at the helm and all will be rosy again at Old Trafford.
Hardly a poisoned chalice.
So the genius that is Giggs has 4 games against....
Norwich(17th) at home
Sunderland(20th) at home
Hull(14th) at home
Sunderland(8th) Away
12 points and no doubt he'll be the Messiah....... i'll go for 7 points..not the Messiah.

I am a scouser and ardent ABU but even I agree with this. The football has been dire all season as the man in charge failed to have the balls to cut loose.

Any thoughts on why so many of the "Big Names" are finding reasons not to be considered for the job?
Yep, we pissed them all off last year by appointing Moyes when several were available! They are now all tied to huge contracts and unlikely to say yes please pick me whilst still battling for trophies at their current clubs!

Because the ones being mentioned are t huge clubs and most have a modicum of decency unlike players under contract?ok 2 leftfield choices. Bielsa but he'll need to be signed up before Marseille get their hands on him and his disciple, Chile manager Sampaoli. Both are attack, quick passing, score more than you minded. Should be up United fans street.

I think a lot of it is to do with the timing, Ancellotti for instance, he is on the edge of a league and CL double, he's hardly going to say 'Yeah the job might be of interest at the end of the season'Personally I think it all points to LvG but we'll see, Klopp said something funny yesterday which almost sounded like he wanted an offer to be made
The club only agreed Moyes compo today (7m for all those who were jizzing at the 6 year pay off) so they can only start really sounding people out now and they have Sir Ryan of Giggs keeping the ship steady for now, so no rush, basically the press have created their own list and then asked all the supposed candidates

I heard you had a clause in contract stating no top 4 , 1 year pay out, why it probably happened so quick after Everton ? (If that's when if became not possible )

Apparently the decision was all but made after your lot did us 3-0 but he was given further time as it suited us to hit this clause. That also suggests to me we have a pretty good idea who the next manager will be as I am sure work will have started very quietly soon after
All this hype about Giggs reminds me of the hype about the mclaren and Honda partnership in f1 like suddenly things are going to change.
I'm dreading the prospect of him actually winning all four games, becoming the messiah to the blind masses and actually developing a chance of being perma appointed.
We need an experienced man at the helm someone to rebuild for the next 2/3 seasons not another s

like Moyes, then if Giggs has proved himself as a serious manager away from utd give him the opportunity.

Don't see why Giggs is suddenly the new Messiah? Sure, personally for him it's good and you'll no doubt end the season on a high with a few wins but surely he has no chance getting the job full-time? Read the DT and they have a piece saying Fergie is backing him ... quotes and everything!
Suddenly the class of '92 turn up in droves and all's well with the world. They've got the badges but are they any good? Moyes has badges, Aidy Boothroyd has badges ...
If none of you think Ole is ready yet and he patently isn't, currently in south Wales taking a team down, then why Giggs? Or do you see it as just a four match spell?

And an experienced man will be brought in, Giggs isn't in the running in the long term but a bit of fun and entertainment in the last few games is what the fans deserve. I got my renewal pack through today, great timing that!
Nobody think Giggs will, get the hob permanently. He's been told that, he doesn't want it yet either. The odds are long.
My thoughts are van Gaal for a few years with Giggs being groomed for the role over this time. However, strong rumours that Mourinho is the next manager, I don't want him ,as I don't like his style of football at all.
What we are all going to enjoy for the last month of this season is someone talking positively about the club and team, someone trying to win games with style and flair and pace, someone who understands what United stands for and then someone coming in to rebuild the team with a clear vision.

I'd like to see this. Jose has flat out denied he's interested today but you can't believe a word that comes out of his mouth right now.
Just watched the other half of the Giggs press conference. Calm, focused on winning, restoring some pride and playing some decent football. Not happy with the title going else where but it's too late to do anything about that now.
17 hours to kick off now. Will be quite some atmosphere tomorrow.
The big question for me is still suit or track suit for Ryan?
Oh and Van Persie all smiles and training today. Remember him? He's pretty good I think, like to see him on the bench if he's ready.

IMHO - Sack your muppet of a chief exec, get someone vaguely useful in and then raid the other side of Merseyside.

He has been responsible for the commercial revenue increases under the Glazers and came with them, he's going nowhere. Without that cash and Fergie over the last 8 years we'd be worse off than Leeds. ![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
Publicly came back from Aus to make significant signings, yet you ended up buying Fellatio for several mil more than he could have been had for and tried to sign Ander Herrera from a couple of chancers (and he probably wasn't the Athletic player to sign, especially given the overly strident buy-out clause).
