Their midfield and defence is on par with League 2 teams as they are largely unknown local players.
The same unknown players that beat Argentina in the World Cup...

I was going to ask who actually gives a fk, but that question has already been answered I see.
Most people don't.

There are tonnes of much better teams, players, etc. in all the top 5 European divisions. With much better levels of football being played.
Better teams, in all the top 5 Euro division debatable, but better players. mmmm I can't agree on that one.
10 decent players does not make a league, doesn't even make 4 teams.

Note I didnt say ALL. The top 5-10 in each of the top 5 divisions would win the Saudi League, remember the top 4 that are throwing huge money about have bought a handful of ageing attacking players on the whole. Their midfield and defence is on par with League 2 teams as they are largely unknown local players.

No idea why you are getting so excited about a front line of Maximin Firmino and Mahrez to be honest. Were you this excited when they played in the PL, did you tune in to watch Maximin pay for Newcastle? You can see much better players playing up front in many teams in the premier league to be quite frank.
Are you sure, you did't say All.
Let me re-read it.
Ok, I think I understand what you mean.
You mean the top 10 teams in All 5 Euro divisions are better, and would win the Saudi league.
Although none of the Euro teams play in the Saudi league . So it does not really matter.

Actually if you had asked , did I tune in to watch Firmino or Mahrez, the answer would be no, not really.
But yes I did, to watch St Maximin play.
Excited, yes.
Can you name me, more then three teams in the Premier, with a more exciting forward line.

Haha, hey I like what you did with the last sentence

I think they will do very very very well this season.
Another brill player to add to the squad.
Have you seen their forward line.
I think you could be right

what do you think about salah to al-ittihad

I think it could be a good signing for them because of al-hilal has signed so well
It would be a great signing for them.
But although he would be very well paid. I think he will still be at Liverpool for a season or two yet.

That's very true.

But Saudi beat Argentina 2-1, lost 2-1 to Mexico and lost 2-0 to Poland.

I should imagine a team made up of League Two players would get absolutely thumped by all 3 of the above!

The 4-0 game

Defenders backing off for 40 yards unchallenged as the old guy jogs up field, one defender falls on his backside. Second goal completely wild missed tackle in midfield followed by none of the rest of the midfield bothering to chase the player, jogs past the full back then the defender hacks aimlessly through the back of the forward penalty. Third goal, great overhead from Benzama...after another unchallenged cross and three defenders stand gormlessly on the edge of the 6 yard box not reacting of even moving towards the ball. Fourth goal again no challenge on the winger as the number 77 just runs past a midfielder who ignores him and the defenders like 8 year olds all run towards the ball.

Not sure what people are getting out of this utterly comedic level of football, its literally a joke.

Ceferin also dismissed speculation that some Saudi clubs could join future editions of the Uefa club competitions or stage the competition finals.

"Only European clubs can participate in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League," he said.

"Only European federations can apply [to host] a final, not even clubs. We would have to change all our rules, and we don't want that."

It's probably a deal which works for both parties. Chelsea need the money next year and Newcastle have spent what they are allowed to this year.
The mandatory buy clause means there is an asset and a liability created in the respective accounts now, so it should be included in the accounts this year and amortised as if it was a normal sale. Neither will put it on the FFP books correctly.

I see John Terry is going to Saudi for a managerial role with Al-Shabab.
He hasn't been offered anything he's just put his suit on and is flying out there to join them.

With his history of playing away with other peoples wifes / girlfriends I would think that's the last place he wants to go, they chop things off out there.
