This looks promising:-

Having said that I’ve never previously heard of Balbuena.

Spending money on younger defenders though, encouraging.
Reese Burke being sold (Hull) & sounds like Cullen off as well.
Can't read too much into that game but certainly later friendlies where the team lines up in full we should do.
Sounds like Wilshere is imminent and I heard rumblings that either Yarmalenko or out the blue Anderson are also signing today.
Shame to hear Burke is being offloaded though - can see why given the competition in his position but he looked a reasonably good player.

Yes we need other signings in the midfield area, until he can prove his fitness. I'm still unconvinced but am hoping to be proven very wrong

Gutted Burke is having his medical at Hull.
He’s been impressive when he’s played, but with the emergence of Rice and the need for instant results nowadays his path with us is blocked.
Good luck to the lad.
Yes me too - although I think he just didnt quite look good enough, he would still have been a useful squad player if we get a few injuries or want to rest players for cup games. I read some positive things about the Paraguayan chap we are meant to be after though...

That's an entire PL campaign.
Proof enough I reckon.
JW is undoubtedly a class act, a level above anyone in our current midfield bar Lanzini IMO.
An excellent piece of business.
News on Claret and Blue this morning that Kouyate, Antonio and Obiang are going to be sold to fund players coming in.
I can totally understand Kouyate, Antonio in two minds as on his day is such a good alternative on the wing - Obiang though was player really well for us before the injury...

When I think of Antonio I’m reminded of his naive error at the end of the match at Selhurst Park last season. Still, as you say on his day . . . I can totally understand Kouyate, Antonio in two minds as on his day is such a good alternative on the wing - Obiang though was player really well for us before the injury...
