You have to deal with Accrington first. hehe
Would be just our luck (and the way we've played this season) to lose that game.
Hopefully you get past them. It'd be good for you since, if I remember correctly, you're actually involved with Yeovil?
Yes. Been a fan since 1970/71, worked for the club for the last eight years in a freelance basis in the media department. Nowadays, I write the match reports for the website, have a column in the programme and commentate for the visually impaired on matchdays.

Lot of talk already about ticket schemes... we have three home games between now and the FA Cup weekend. Talk of tokens for those matches if we get past Accrington but can't look further than next Tuesday's replay which I will miss as I'm filming "Countdown" in Manchester that night.

Replacing one of the greatest managers the game has ever seen after over 25 years of success, stability and constant reinvention of the team was always going to be a nightmare. It proved to be so.
His "constant reinvention" of the team wasn't so constant in his final years. Moyes was left with a mediocre team.

He didn't invest enough in his last couple of years and some of the players he did buy didn't have the quality you'd expect of one of Europes/the Worlds biggest clubs.
.. the great man was buying young to succeed Rio and Vida.
That's where he went wrong. Young is a winger, the other two are defenders! idea

Hardly the biggest shock news in the world but whoever United play in the FA Cup Third Round, it has been selected for live TV coverage on BT Sport. Kick off at either Accrington or Yeovil will be at 3.30pm on Sunday 4th January 2015.

Your dream has come true Mart. Michael Owen commentating a Yeovil game. cool
hehe

I missed him when Liverpool came down in 2004/05. Houllier left him and Gerrard behind so didn't get his autograph for the kids.

Good result for your lads today, especially after the early blow to you of Johnson going off.

More good news. thumbup

You've received an injury boost with the news that midfielder Marouane Fellaini will miss the next three games with a rib injury.

Well after last night's debacle at Huish Park, I'd iamgine Louis van Gaal has a rea dilemma on his hands this morning.

Does he bring down the first team on Sunday or their wives? frown

One of the worst games I've ever seen us play. Appreciate that it was -2 or -3 out there, frosty pitch and a fellow relegation struggler as an aopponent but ye Gods, we were terrible. First twenty minutes, not too bad, but didn't take our chances. Leyton Orient scored, heads went down and 0-3 was a fair result.

A lot of talk on social media that the manager might go after Sunday's game. Many fans think he should go before then but to be honest, the guy is a legend whose halo has slipped this season. Seven years in the job has produced three promotions and an FA Trophy win for a club raised on 4,000 gates.

Either way, go easy on us on Sunday. Please?

I understand he's using the game to bring ADM up to full fitness!!! How's your back line for pace?
Full backs are quick enough, especially the right back who came through Chelsea youth system. Centrebacks aren't great, both loanees from Fulham and Cardiff.

I doubt he'll go full strength but he may still be scarred by that MK Dons mauling. The problem you have is those that need games, Wilson, ADM, Shaw, Herrera etc are hardly st! And they do have a lot of pace. He's unlikely to drop Rooney but I'm sure he'll rest RVP. Plus Falcao needs a goal......

Doesn't make great reading for you I'm afraid mate. But Falcao and ADM in your backyard could be quite a sight!
To be honest, it's a win-win situation for us. It can't affect our league form as we are shocking anyway and we stand to make £350k + out of it. I can't deny it, the chance to do an "Exeter" and get a replay sounds good (though Exeter's first game was as OT of course) but really, our battle is to stay in League One and not suffer a double relegation.

It's the magic of the cup. It's a shame it wasn't at Old Trafford as I believe you get half the gate receipts? Either way as you say it's a lot of cash and you just never know, I'm really looking forward to it.
Me too, really.

(it's 40% gate receipts to each club, 20% to the FA).

Ah right, that's the prawn sandwich brigade then! hehe - name doesn't ring a bell but then I sit in a different stand to them and wouldn't see them on matchdays.

Off tack again (sorry) but we interviewed Lou Macari and Mickey Thomas for the matchday programme today. I'm writing up the articles now but Macari was such a friendly bloke and he was saying that nowadays when he gets to OT, no one asks him about the team any more, they just want to know about "Marvellous"....
