Dalglish for Chelsea. What was the classic phrase ..... I'll drive him down myself.
On a serious note I think whoever is in next needs to clear out the old guard that seem to be very good at falling out with their managers.
Really hope Rafa doesn't end up there. Glenn's right, the owner should just do his coaching badges and do it himself.
It's a no lose for any decent manager. On a serious note I think whoever is in next needs to clear out the old guard that seem to be very good at falling out with their managers.

You can negotiate excellent salary and break-terms in your contract, on the basis that Chelsea have a less than envious record in changing managers prematurely.
If it works, you're the one who could do it when others couldn't, and your success, pay and chance of employment anywhere is excellent.
If it doesn't work, you walk away with a huge payout and people blame Chelsea for it going wrong rather than you.
Abramovich is not a good football club owner.

Not surprised at all....
If Jose doesn't come back for it in the summer, i think Capello will be in the frame but then ex manager Hiddink is also unemployed currently...
I'd say Capello too. Isn't Gus at that new Russian moneyed outfit now?If Jose doesn't come back for it in the summer, i think Capello will be in the frame but then ex manager Hiddink is also unemployed currently...
If Capello hasn't had enough of England i think he'll definitely be in consideration. (Saying that the colour of Abramovich's money will probably be enough for Fabio to forget he's even been in the country for the last few years)
I was suprised by the Sky News reporter describing the Chelsea job as one of the most coveted in the country.
They may have been successful a few years ago, but they have an ageing squad, an owner who demands immediate success, and following from that more chance of getting sacked than winning anything.
