I think the opposite in terms of skill. You no longer see players like George Best who have the skill, balance and ability to dance round 3 or 4 defenders in a row with the ball glued to his toe and slot the ball in the back of the net while skidding around on 3 inches of mud.

I'm sure I'm an old fogie these days as far as football is concerned but as has been said, a free kick because the goalie threw himself in the air, missed the ball and winded himself! clowns.
