It would appear to have been a massive squirrel.

To deflect from what? Who knows.

You're too suspicious. laugh

Isn't it £24-26m Rangers currently need to raise?

I see HMRC have responded to yesterday's claims. There was no mistake and they won the case in court.

Newspapers really need to be held accountable for whipping up a frenzy with false reporting.

Are you talking about the late night incorrectly punctuated tweet? That looked more like they’d been hacked to me.

You/they have misunderstood the reports too as it was never suggested Rangers won the case.

All very peculiar.

Are the reports false?

It all seems very odd how many people at the club, the courts and administrators/liquidators have been involved with the club and nobody noticed this error for 8 years.

There's little point in recycling all this stuff anyway. The alleged miscalculation didn't make much difference in the fact Rangers were financially fked.

Unless HMRC and The Times Editor have both had their Twitter accounts hacked there appears to be communication between the both of them.

The Times editor is back tracking a tad this evening.

"We were also clear in stating the insolvency was caused not by HMRC"

Yet their headline yesterday was

"Tax officials blamed for the downfall of Rangers"

The banter years continue.

So, Jack Ross takes over at Hibs.

I just hope he's still there at the end of his 3.5 year contract.

I hope you’re still saying that for the duration of his 3.5 year contract smile

I see there’s a game today. Scotland B vs Cyprus... nothing to play for so we’ll win a comfortable 2-0.

So do I matey, so do I. There's been far too much chopping and changing at Easter Road in recent years.

I'm hoping Ross can re-establish Hibs as secure top six side that is capable of challenging for a European place. Of course winning the league would be nice, but I've supported them for over 50 years, so I won't hold my breath biggrin

re - the times hmrc story

It's bizarre this has all been dragged into the spotlight again. Over the last 7 years we've got used to the rangers pr machine feeding lines to the scottish media but i thought the times were a bit better than that ?

You got lucky there. Cyprus effort was over the line, now you've got 0-1 up.

Aye not sure where they’ve got these officials from. Cracking goal though. (Both of them!)

We’ve got a Champions League midfield and a Challenge Cup defence. Weird game that. Home games for the Nations’ League I believe so hopefully the former have the main influence on the games.

I didn't see much of the game. I tuned in and out when I could.

A win is a win. Lovely goal by Christie.

I've never seen the fuss about McKenna and every game I see him I'm even less convinced. I think Aberdeen are going to regret not cashing in on him earlier.

Hard to be positive about finishing 3rd in a group ahead of Cyprus.

Hopefully the draw is lucky next week.

Some finish, but what the hell was the defence doing? McKenna just watched and opened that side of the goal for a shot.

Could have been red.

I think that'll be game over.

Another win. It was deserved, but I'm sure the 2nd goal will be questioned. I thought it was a foul on the keeper.

It should have been a penalty when Burke was body checked.

Hopefully end up lucky with the playoff draw. It's needed.
