Hodgson, Rooney, Cahill, Sterling, Walker, Hart should all retire from international duty immediately.

Clueless.

I don't know why I watch. Every2 years we fk up. Obviously RH goes. But the next manager should say I'll never play anyone from this team again.

Start from scratch. I'm so embarrassed. 100% clear out.

I'm not disappointed because it's what England do in every tournament. Different manager, same team. Also in this game we had the benefit of having like 70 odd minutes to settle into the inevitable.

You could see it coming from the first game. 2 draws and a last minute win against 3 crap teams and then losing to a team filled with 2nd rate players but well organized and hard working.

No tactical nouse, ill prepared and utterly lacking in ideas and composure. What a fking embarrassment.

Give the handling of Article 50 to Hodgson - he'll have us out of Europe in a flash.

This result, and more importantly performance, has ended my interest in international football.
I lost interest after 2010.

It's only worth watching for the comedy element now. There won't have been anything funnier on TV this evening. That's guaranteed.

Well done Iceland, you can go all the way boys with that spirit.

Surely now is time for Hodgson to go, and a big big shake up in the squad too. They had arguably the easiest route through the tounament and they made a royal fk up of it yet again.

Will they now go back to the discussion at half time ... "Should Hart be dropped for the quarter final?"

Did I hear right that some of the Icelandic team only play football part time?

What's Woy on, £3m + a year? He was still experimenting with the 'system' in the Portugal friendly match. That's one game before a major tournament. Christ on a bike.

Keep those useless tts off the telly. The only thing I want to hear from them is they're retiring. The rest should fade into obscurity.

A handful warrant another go - Rashford amongst them.

Funny feeling. I actually don't care that they were knocked out after that performance. Am just angry.

(Last time I felt that way about a national side was just last autumn, England v Australia in the rugby...so I guess it could feasibly be turned round. HA!).

The U21's would've given a better account of themselves.

They would've shown more spirit at the very least.
