I am shocked Aubameyang wants to come to you in the current state you're at - no top 4 this year and with everyone above you strengthening again in the summer its going to be a hell of a job getting back in unless you spend massive.

Its odd isnt it. as an outsider looking in you'd have to be a basket case to sign for arsenal right now the whole club seems toxic and yet he has and he's a top, top player. Perhaps playing for wenger is still a pull for players either that or he is a basket case

If you want out of where you are, and there's only one other club that has shown interest in you (because of your obvious baggage regardless of any talent!) then he's not got many options left.......

Not even sure we're at Europa level to be honest, but I have this bizarre feeling that AW might just end up winning the bloody thing this season..........as on our day with all the moons in alignment, we can put in a good enough performance in one match or a sequence of matches against EL teams, but totally lack the consistency for any serious PL league challenge or get anywhere in CL when we get beyond the group stages (against largely Europa league level teams)

You've met his wage demands and he gets to live in London. I'm quite sure that Colchester United would have taken on his "baggage" or any other number of clubs in Europe. None of them would pay the money he wants though.

So it really depends whether he's professional and will always play to his best, regardless of the club/current team/manager. Or whether you've just re-signed Adebayour....

Rumblings that BatShuayi is at Dortmund having a medical, I think we're mad if Giroud goes to Chelsea, that's two of our best attacking players to direct rivals, when our issues have always been defensive, not attacking

In some ways you were unfortunate in that you came up against us during our only upward trajectory of all season! And it wasn't like the Liverpool game - -we could have scored 5/6! Your defence doesn't like it up 'em.

But, that's pretty much my fear. I've never been convinced of AW's ability to deal with 'difficult' players (among other things!) so, we'll just have to see how it pans out.........

Hopefully, our ability to at least score more goals than we let in at the other end is AW's way of improving the team......

I assume this relates to internet moaning you are talking about as i think the fans, certainly at home, have been excellent at getting behind the team and players. For sure there have been occasions when the crowd has turned but those are largely few and far between. That's not to say that everyone is happy and thinks AFC is a rosey place because it certainly isn't but i think your perception as to what happens in the ground is more than a little wide of the mark.

As for internet whinging, i doubt the club could give a st.

Played all the CL defeats for Dortmund, so presumably not.

Apparently, one player per team is allowed to have played in the group stages of either the CL or Europa League and can then play in the knockout rounds of the other competition. You can’t represent two clubs in the CL though from the group stages on.
