3-0 up.

Surely time to take The Ox off now with a view to Saturday?
Thinking the same thing. Didn't want him playing to be honest.
I don't think he'll start. Ramsey looked very good from the highlights I saw....I think he'll start again. Be v.surprised if it's not the same team bar TV5 that played at Citeh.

Just in from the match - highlights won't show it but Shava worked his socks off and fully deserved his goal (Giroud ably assisted) - Some encouraging perfs. The Ox goal was special but Ignassi was marvellous (not long before Catalan Contemptibles want him back, I'll warrant)

Based on how we profit from selling players who were previously unknown, that is the eventual/overall plan, no?

Vid of the goals

http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/arsenal-6-cov...

Arshavin's goal is the pick for me.....great technique.

Good to see so many players performing so well on the fringe of the first team.....quality problem for A. Wenger esq.

We've had better players in Cesc and RVP but this is the best overall squad for a loooong time. We suddenly look like we have twenty genuine first team players.

Just looked at the goals again, Confirmed my impressions from last night
a) Theo scored both goals from wide positions NOT playing through the centre
b) The Arshavin mojo might have been re-discovered - he really did put a shift in and looked very pleased with his goal
c)Djourou is going to get some intensive 'Bouldy Treatment' in training as he should have done better with the Cov goal
d)The Ig looks so classy, covered a lot for Santos and could easily play LB or DM as well as CB

You all do realise that Coventry play in League 1 right?

Yup well aware that it was soft opposition. That said the players were clearly motivated and up for it...all about momentum and confidence.

But that was a total "second string" team....none of those players started at the weekend and five of them were very young....a couple of first team competitive debuts. Those youth players if they were on loan would be playing in the Championship probably. In a a game like this a year ago the likes of Arshavin would have gone through the motions and we'd have been watching Chamakh looking like a lost soul.

Ian Wright, 'Nothing to Something'. Well worth giving up 27 minutes of your time to watch.

This should be played to all Arsenal players. Fantastic insight and quite moving.

Legend.
Just had a chance to watch this. Thought it was great cheers for posting. The teacher bit very nearly had me sopping like a girl!

Amazing how close he was to not making it as a pro footballer. Makes you think how many great footballers didn't make it for one reason or another. I've always thought there must be another messi in the world who never had the chance to make it.

Was kind of hoping we'd be playing against Terry at the weekend. He had a good game against us last year hehe

Finally got around to watching last nights goals, all very good ones at that, special mention to Ox's Arshavin and Walcott's second goal.
Agree it gives a lot more comfort to have strength in depth.

In the last 33 Premier League games between Chelsea and Arsenal, the Blues record with Drogba playing is W7 D3 L1, while without him it is W0 D9 L13.

We have a decent squad and cover in most positions but a long term injury to either Arteta or Szczesny will be devastating.
