Apart from set plays, he didn’t do a lot last season.

I don't want to start hammering JWP, but his pass count is maybe not all it seems - he is great at shoving it sideways, sideways, backwards - very rare to see a forward pass which splits the oppo's defence in two.

It would have been easy to think he was being more mindful of his stats than the game in hand.

And when the going got tough, he was very good at hiding behind opponents and not being available for that simple ball..

Yes,of course I'll miss him, but £30M is a no-brainer for Saints, IMHO.

Re JWP, it's just a shame that he's gone to that cesspit of a club.

This Lavia business needs to get wrapped up quickly, as we need to start bringing in some players who can hit the ground running! Conceding 7 goals in 2 games against Gillingham and Norwich is totally unacceptable.

I appreciate that Norwich's goals were good, but my opinion remains the same as last season - get a shot on target against Bazunu and there's a better than 50:50 chance it'll go in.

I suspect that the main reason the defence looks so jittery is because they know what's behind them.

Che Adams likely to go to Everton? 25 goals in 4 seasons is not startling although he does work hard for the team

Championship is probably his level so you could have expected a greater goal return this season.

I think you are right that Championship is his level but if we get £12M for him, I would jump at it
