The way he is in interviews, press conferences, anything I've seen from the way we set up besides a few matches just make me believe he hasn't got a clue. Would any of the other top 6 hire him? Doubtful.
Doubtful? A resounding “no way” I would think, as he is unproven and not a playing legend anywhere else.I almost feel sorry for him, he seems a decent bloke and not enough players playing to their ability - missing chances and poor defending is not coaching it’s basic ability surely

I don't want Ole to stay to the point fans really turn on him because I don't want that to happen to him.
Ole was brought in as the board new it was a st show, they need a fall guy to take a hit while they try and ship out the bad eggs and ask him to play loads of youth players. The fans would always give him time as an ex player but I feel sorry for him.
Limited signings by the board, forced to play the youth players, had our two best midfielders out injured and our top striker now out for a few months. Gone from bad to worse for him
It's clear he wasn't not the long term solution, but Woodward is clearly the problem. Sanctioned signings that where never good enough, and failed to get others signed.
It's clear we need a DoF and a long term plan at the club. Chopping and changing managers every few seasons means the squad is in a mess. Players bought to play different systems, and Ole is left with a shambles to pick the bones from.
I can understand why Greenwood didn't start. If he or Greenwood got injured by starting we would have 1 striker fit at the club.

Well I for one, am shocked that at 2-0 down and in desperate need of a couple of goals we brought the big guns on but incredibly the normally prolific goal-machines that are Shaw and Lingz didn’t make a difference!
Not a very good showing really. We started so brightly too with the quick passing but they were seriously strong in the air and packed the defence well when they lost possession. We had no answer to either. Their second goal was a cracker!

Of course he will.
Everyone still wants him who goes AMG says, so it won't happen for a bit yet Challo is similar to where I’m at.
There’s a growing amount of discontent in the ground but it is directed at the Glazers and notably increasingly at Woodward. There were several periods tonight where I’d say 50% of the ground were on their feet belting out a chorus of stand up if you want the glazers out and we want our United back also got most of the ground involved. It won’t make a jot of a difference to those at the top of the club as they clearly have skins like rhinos.
There’s the odd completely negative clown but they are the sort that go to moan. A couple of the lads that sit with me are like this but it’s the players getting the stick.
Ole isn’t going to be completely immune to criticism but he’s nowhere near the sack. IMO. We have been rotting for years, wrong manager hires, wrong signings and daft knee jerk reactions. That has got to stop. And maybe it has. Those around me accept where we are and it is going to be a painful route back and it is going to take time. The crowd will give Ole that, if he isn’t backed, the the abuse will continue to be directed at the owners and Woodward and they’ll take it whilst trying to bring in the type of players that will improve the team and overall squad. if that isn’t this month then we will suffer several more results like tonight but I’d rather that than make the wrong signings.
In the meantime we will be the butt of the jokes online and they’ll be much handwringing and outrage but really no one I sit with gives a fk about the red cafes and blue moons of this world they never even come up!
We are going to be inconsistent while a lengthy comprehensive overhaul is completed. And those scouse fkers are going to win the league to really rub salt in the wound. But that’s football and thats why we all love it. Ups and downs and swings and roundabouts periods of absolute joy but for Most fans absolute despair!
There’s only four decent titles/trophies available to top flight teams in England and Europe every season and 20 clubs in multiple countries going for them. I’ve seen untied win them all, with almost unique frequency domestically at least.
I’m happy to wait a couple more years to see us do it again.
I bet it won’t be 30 years though.
I’m going to bed.
You're all being wise after the event, saying, oh, it was the wrong signings, wrong managers etc, well you weren't all saying that at the time ... maybe Moyes but LVG, and especially Mourinho were roundly welcomed and you all thought the good old days were going to come back - and they id to a certain extent - FA Cup win and Europa League win.
When de Maria came, Pogba returned and Sanchez signe (there were lots on here really pleased that he came and didn't go to Citeh), I don't think there were many dissenting voices.
It doesn't help that deadwood like Phil Jones and Lingard got new contracts though ... that is the unforgiveable bit.
Liverpool will win the title for sure but fortunes can change now much quicker than they used to do in sport at the top level - you've witnessed that in the last 5-6 years. No one team will dominate as you once did and believe it or not, the game is better for it.

That's not hyperbole or wumming either.
He's a manager without a style of play or direction.
Our youth teams are moulded in the shape of our first team and so I honestly don't believe he'd be considered for role if it were available
Very difficult times for our team at the moment and for the foreseeable future. Like some of the other guys on this forum , I have stood at OT and witnessed some of the worst football ever under Sexton , Atkinson and early Fergie , but like most things , it goes in cycles.
The owners had it easy in the beginning as they had a man at the helm which will probably be unrivalled, so whilst he did spend money he probably could see the writing on the wall long term, and over the last six years the revolving managerial door has been in full swing.
OGS to me and many others is a club legend, our leaders know this , and tried to buy time based on his popularity not on his football management ability . He is sadly not up to the job but there again neither is his assistants. If the right person had been made DOF funds would of been channeled into the right area and utilised better.
Like any badly run company the cracks will deepen until it falls apart. This club needs a major re think and after several years in charge Woodward and co need to smell the coffee. Making money is one thing , using it wisely is another.
Sad times guys, suck it up , and look down the East Lancs road to see what happens when you get The equation right......... Their Daglish our Ollie.

As I've said before, these eras come and go, nice when you are in the middle of them but you've got to accept they don't go on forever.
