the board? so why is it that when the board announce that there are significant transfer fees available wenger doesn't go out and spend every penny to reinforce the club?
Because they are lying?

It is a lot easier for them to say that there are 'Significant' funds available to the press and fans and then to tell Wenger the real budget. Which as we know from previous spend windows is to break even or make profit on transfers.
They have to keep money set aside for transfers if they don't spend it on players....it's in the terms of the bonds that were used to finance the stadium. Basically a certain % of earnings is ring fenced.

Sevilla is ready to sell Jesus Navas and other 2 key players due to financial problems.

Spurs want him too.

Sounds like Sagna is fit....he's played left back before hasn't he ? If Gibbs isn't fit Sagna should play left back and Jenkinson right back.....Santos shouldn't be on the pitch.
He certainly shouldn't be at left back thats for sure - he's the biggest defensive liability Arsenal have had since Pascal Cygan. I also can't think of a worse left back in the Premiership. However, he could have some use as a decent back up to Podolski on the left wing maybe? More of a 'fresh legs' option than a game changer.

Either put Sagna at left back and keep Jenkinson going at right back or just play Vermaelen as 2nd choice left back when Gibbs isn't fit. Opponents will be looking at Santos and thinking he's worth a goal a game at the moment if they get at him.

Navas doesn't want to move from Spain because of his family.

Wilshere starts and Gervihno is on the bench, double bonus!

But why the fk has santos not been dropped? Jenkinson has been bloody brilliant for us. Good to see Sagna back too.

No width again!!! Ramsey and Pod on the wings presumeably? That has been our main problem over the last two games IMO, and could be the problem again today. We HAVE to play at a fast tempo......come on Arsenal!!!!

Well I believe my point has just been proven....too narrow, not enough varation in our play - it's all going through the middle at the minute!!!

Watched most of the game on a web stream and we were utter st again, no ideas, no movement, no shots, trying to walk the ball through the centre or just back and forth across the QPR box endlessly with no product whatsoever. Giroud and Podolski both looked devoid of the slightest clue what a goal is, numerous free kicks none of which bought even a save out of them.

Just got back from the game, very strange atmosphere in the stadium, reminded me of early last season when we were dreadful. You do get the sense that the fans are slowly running out of patience which is a shame IMO. Much better to stand behind the team 100% rather then hope for a bad performance so it gives merit to their arguments.

Jack was bloody brilliant, there was talk about how long it'll take him to get to where he was before the injury. It's perfectly clear all that's missing is fitness. He's reading of the game is truly breathtaking at times. Very Bergkamp the way he knows exactly what to do with the ball before he gets it. And Sagna looked like he's never missed a game. Such a class act. I said it at the start of the season and il say it again this is the best squad weve had in a very long time. The foundations are there with a few more additions most notably an out and out striker we'd be able to challenge with the very best.

Makes me wonder where'd we be if we still had RVP. Serious title contenders I fear. Apologies for spelling, posting via iPhone.

rofl One of the most delusional posts i have ever read. We have been hearing this st for nearly a decade now, it's become more than a little tiring.

Sure. That presumably is Wenger's call but it has to be there.
