Swings and roundabouts - bar Spurs we have done ok, and I even include City in that when we had 11 men - a bit of luck is always needed in football too
I see what you are saying, but on a few occasions we have fallen apart this season. Seville, city, spurs. That's just not right.I agree with what you said in an earlier post - we need a 'differently' CM. Eg if we had Kante we would look a totally different unit.
Will be interested to see how Lallana fits in now.

I am not sure he would make that much of a difference, Chelsea at the wknd played with practically 3 DM - most times its 2 - I agree with what you said in an earlier post - we need a 'differently' CM. Eg if we had Kante we would look a totally different unit.

Our problem is crumbling holding the ball when under pressure, we go from something like 60-65% possession to 40% when pressure is on, we need people who can keep their head and play football - not necessarily tackle

I have to day, though, Kante has got a serious engine and would be a major upgrade on any one can/wijnaldum/henderson.
I can't help but think if our two wide men dropped back to make a five when we are trying to close a game out it would make the job easier, but wtf do I know.

also easier said than done getting Mane and Salah to be defensive minded I have to day, though, Kante has got a serious engine and would be a major upgrade on any one can/wijnaldum/henderson.

Sorry but mings is not at fault, Willian didn't even shoot at goal rather crossed it in and mings set up correctly for the cross. If he had stayed on the line and the cross went as planned you would be moaning about mings not coming out. Its easy to criticise in hindsight but the goal was a fluke that no one is responsible for.
'Awful decisions regarding the subs' - what would you have done that would have 100% secured us a goal? Cant stand this!
x2 89 minute subs plus 1 earlier sub leaving us with no named striker is exactly what I wouldn't have done that's for sure.'Awful decisions regarding the subs' - what would you have done that would have 100% secured us a goal? Cant stand this!

Klopp said that he got to the end of last season and had a meeting with Moreno and said they reviewed the season and admitted that he'd not used him enough. Since Milner doesn't want to play there any way it makes sense that Klopp is using Moreno now instead. Up until the Sevilla game, no one had an issue with this.
Plenty people have had an issue with Moreno and posted it in previous results this season. It's just there's approximately 2 groups on here. The optimists ("trust Klopp") who post more frequently, and the more realists/negatives (Klopp is good but he fails to address some obvious issues) who post less frequently.I think Moreno is fine when not needed to defend properly. When he is needed he tends to mess up. Generally though since we have so much possession against a lot of teams he is needed less in defence, hence him looking better this season. Not someone I would trust though.

Why not? Use up a bit of the game time when doing subs, breaks up play and makes the team more defensive.
The first wasn't really a defensive minded sub. It threw Salah up front as the striker, put Firminho on and let him chase the ball and keep Salah where he is. No point bringing on 2 subs at the 89th minute to break up play, we're chasing the game then. We needed fresh legs on beforehand to do a bit more ball chasing. No point fannying about, if you're going to go defensive and close out the game then do it, change formation, tactics, players etc. because a half-hearted attempt will not be as successful. We had Mane and Firminho on the bench, what is all that about.Overall I've never really liked late subs, I get the logic of them but in reality it doesn't change much. I assume it's also a tactic players don't too.
That's just me though. Each to thier own I suppose but in my mind these things seem so obvious.

There was clearly an issue with getting the subs on on Saturday - looking at that article above. Clearly they should have been on sooner. But really, an extra minute or 2 wouldn't have made any difference, I agree.Overall I've never really liked late subs, I get the logic of them but in reality it doesn't change much. Yep he put the inform goal scorer up top and bought on a player that closes the ball down and doesn't give many fouls away on in the last few minutes, what a fool he is!Overall I've never really liked late subs, I get the logic of them but in reality it doesn't change much. How about leaving him where he is (where he's been scoring all of his goals from) and putting a striker who also closes down very well. No idea what you're talking about regarding the last few minutes. It's just an opinion mate, no need for the sarcasm.
And people wonder why the top 2 are from Manchester

Don't see much of him ..not sure if barred tbh?
And the I've never had any complaints at utd spending they earn it... it was posted for a sense of realism ...
Realistically no teams with net spends anywhere near like ours over last 2 should be going for title with what you and city spend..I'd love us to spend more trust me
I don't thinm even the the most hardened UTD fan would expect jose to be in top 2 with net spend of 35m in his first 2 years ? Could be wrong though
