The Official Tottenham Hotspur thread [Vol 13]
Discussion
Good performance today and some great goals. This is the kind of performance we've been wishing for from our forwards and Bale is looking like the player we were hoping for.
Also noteworthy that after a statistical blip that was somehow mistaken for the start of a dynasty, certain teams are historically back where they belong (Stats don't lie)

I hear on the grapevine Escy was banned from this thread. No reason given but he assumes some wet wipe was upset he was talking about a Spurs player on a Spurs thread, so fair enough really, it's out of order. He was on the receiving end of jibes but never gave them out, I hear he considered it good natured banter.
Normal service was resumed once he'd been booted out, couple of pages talking about football pitch cambers was riveting stuff.
I hear he's annoyed that Mourinho seems to be getting credit for Bale coming good when he strongly feels if he'd had the chance to play himself into form and build fitness at the start of the season you'd have been seeing these performances all season. It turns out that Escy fella was right to have the faith in Bale.

Never know how to take Souness and Keene.
Anyway. A story from Ally Mcoist made me laugh earlier. Apparently he was in to the team room after gym with Dalglish and Souness. Dalglish asked them who wanted what to drink. Souness asked for coffee, Mcoist, tea.
Jock Stein walks in and Dalglish puts a coffee down in front of Souness, one for himself and a pint of lager in front of Mcoist. He protests that he never asked for it but Kenny is like ‘you asked for a pint of lager’, he was crapping himself![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
You’ll have to listen to the podcast off talkSPORT, the whole hour he was brilliant.
Good game, Kane is just on another level. Watching Man City earlier he’d likely had made all the difference. Good to see Bale firing, perhaps Jose does know what he was on about and the ghost of ecsy forgot he was likely well out of sorts. Guess that’s why he’s the manager![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

I think the top 3 now is the top 3 at the end of the season, and there are 7 teams fighting for 4th place.
Realistically we need a 5 point swing against Chelsea to make the top 4 and I can't see that happening but never say never.
We have 2 games in hand. No swing as such required. Realistically we need a 5 point swing against Chelsea to make the top 4 and I can't see that happening but never say never.
