iInever said they were the word you said.

Lingard is a bench warmer at best, Shaw ? only if we need half a dozen left backs. Rose & Chilwell are far better left backs.

Rashford i'd have but even his place is looking a little iffy.

Anyway back to reality this weekend in the prem. Key players injured and a need to get back to winning ways.
Anyone aware of further international injuries? Lukaku still crocked I believe.

I can understand and sympathise with him over the way it was handled, it was very poor from our board...but he doesn't help himself either.

"The coach after me [Mourinho] changed to park-the-bus tactics and played on the counter. Now there is another coach who parks the bus and plays on the counter. The main difference between Mourinho and Solskjaer is that Solskjaer is winning

"I am not there but there does look to be a change and the atmosphere seems to be better. It is also true that Solskjaer has changed Paul Pogba's position and put him into an area where he is much more important.

"But the way Manchester United are playing now is not the way Ferguson played. It is defensive, counter-attacking football. If you like it, you like it. If you think it is more exciting than my boring attacking, OK. But it is not my truth.

Who cares! The future is important now. Plenty of gossip around potential signings over summer. Would be great if they just crack on for once and do some business where it's needed and confirm if OGS is da man!

There’s a grain of truth there. But a lot of the Fergie teams were counter-attacking sides!

LVG’s side was a possession side. Not an attacking side. We used to pass corners back to DDG FFS! And the major difference between Maureen and Ole’s team is intent. Maureen was happy to get a couple of chances, score and sit back. Ole’s team is far quicker and far more ambitious - and that’s despite it not being made of a single player he’s bought. So very disingenuous to analyse his style so early on.

Football under LVG was the most boring I’ve ever seen - and Ole has bought some excitement back, and is getting far more out of the players than anyone else since Fergie.

I have no problem with our style of play. I hate possession for possession's sake. It makes for very dull football. I remember feeling like I was taking crazy pills for finding the "great" Spanish side very boring to watch - passing the ball 800 times on the halfway line kills me.

Also, Ole has the problem that we do not have enough players that are able to keep the ball! We are forced to play the way we do because lots of players lose possession anyway, so you may as well take risks and attack fast.

Give him some transfer budget now and a few years to bed it all in. Not two seasons and expecting the world, it's a longer term rebuild right through the club.
Very happy they've done it and the timing is right for a last push this season now.

Brilliant,

Delighted, but and its a big but, he needs to keep some of the core staff with him to be a good success imo and coupled with some big transfer support, while hopefully giving the boot to the wasters we have in the team. Now to beat Barca...and not take the foot off the gas like in the last two games!

Agreed...but he's built the perfect platform to now spring from. He's immediately instilled the feelgood factor, the players have responded and to a man at least look like they all want to play for him. The confidence is back and I'm sure the players are all itching to play now (not saying they weren't before) and be a part of it the Ole revolution.

To be competing in the latter stages of competitions I don't believe will take too much, but if we can sprinkle in some new signings and keep the likes of DDG we have a very real chance of pushing for the big trophies.

Happy days people. smile
