Oh and I saw Wilshere didnt make the squad, did we get a full 20 mins out of him before the next injury?
pellegrini after the match:-

"Jack (Wilshere) was not a selection, he has a small problem I didn’t want to take a risk. If he needs to play he can play but I didn’t want to take a risk."

With Arnie picking up another knock he was right to not risk - wasn't needed but think we'll see him at the weekend.

Perez hadn't scored for 700+ days apparently- brace tonight, my mate said "deft touch" for his second - quality finishing.

Sixth to lower-mid table's tight as a tight thing.

I'll be cheering for Arsenal tonight.

(Put that on a list of the things I thought I'd never hear myself saying.)

An Arsenal win would keep Spurs out the champions league spots though...enemy of your enemy is your friend? laugh

I might not go that far, but # 2 son is a season ticket holder at The Emirates, so I’m happy for him when they win, plus he sends slightly piss taking, but congratulatory texts whenever we have a good result, like after the Cardiff game, “Great stuff Dad, last time your mob had a result like that, Billy Bonds and Lampard Senior were in the team, weren’t they?”

Any views on Arnies injury, likely to miss the weekend maybe?

Arnie out for a few weeks is a serious blow. We may not see him in claret & blue again.

Big loss but he's not looked 100% recently. With Anderson's form, Hernan finding the goal and AC back it's perhaps not as critical as it might've been though.

Usual curse of WH though - most of a full team now out injured.

He's stated several times that the media stories are bks so I don't anticipate him going anywhere.

We need to strengthen again in the window - £150m or so ought to do it biggrin

What is it with all the injuries, year after year we seem to have more than any other team in the PL at any one time. What was it? 9 up till recently.
Depressing.

Yes it is just insane, it is relentless the amount of injuries our club sustains. It has to be something to do with the facilities or something that is consistent throughout - we have changed coaching teams, physios, managers etc. and it just continues season after season. I almost accept that our best players do not play through the season anymore and that each one will have at least a 3 month+ lay off at some point.

Eight at the moment & puts us top of the injury table as usual: Arnie, Cresswell, Wilshere, Fredericks, Yarma, Reid (remember him), Sanchez & Lanzini.

Beyond a joke & we've not got the squad depth to accommodate.

And add AC back into the mix in about two weeks time.

Yep, pretty much the case - probably trip over a car in Ilford or Romford on the Xmas piss-up.

Anyone know when Lanzini & Ried are likely to be fit?
