On paper we are the stronger side but it's a cup final and anything can happen.

And Spurs can beat anyone on their day - as they have shown this year.

Exactly.

City also thought they were better than spurs on the pitch and on paper and look how that turned out.

Yeah I feel a bit sick about it already.

We’ll be celebrating. I simply cannot see any scenario where we lose to Spurs. We are a much better team in every area, on current form there isn’t one Spurs player who would get in to our starting XI. I’d settle for a comfortable 3-0 win.
Have you been on the ale, and hard? It’s a cup final?

I’ve just got back from the rugby 7s and I still don’t understand how anyone could make that comment, or tempt fate. We finished well ahead of them but neither game against them this season was comfortable.

They were excellent against a superior City side. If both sides play to their maximum but that rarely happens and good / bad luck often plays a part.

Really looking forward but wish we were playing a foreign team as I would enjoy it far more!

Although I liked Emre Can its quite strange how quickly you can forget about players almost as soon as they leave, Suppose it depends on who you

replace them with, but I never felt for a minute that we have missed him / or we would be a better team with him still in it.

Dare I say the same about Phil ?? I personally would still have him back but would have to be for less than 60M .. Have we really missed him though ?
Have we missed him? Not sure we have. Look at what we've done this season. Who would you drop to play PC where he was playing for us before he left?
I don't think we could drop anyone on current form.. I see Phil as a luxury player that can win you a game out of nowhere from a bit of magic to an

awesome free kick.. But Mr consistent 'he ain't'.. He's not really a Klopp kind of player as his workrate ain't up to it.. However off the bench he is a brill

(if overpriced) option, Maybe Fekir can do a job for us ?

I think the important point is whether we would have bought the players we've bought if we'd not sold Phil?

If the answer is no, then we've not missed him and it's been the right move for the Club. If there was a scenario where he stayed, and we bought Allison, VvD and Fabinho, then that would have been preferable, but my instinct is that scenario was never an option.

This.

I was one of those that when he was openly glad. I didnt think wed miss him and i dont think we do.

He flounced out for his 'childhood dream' and if he wants back now he can do one. Were doing fine without him and he sure as hell wouldnt have been that 2 point difference that would have got us the league.

No ale involved, though I’ll be having a few celebratory brandies on Saturday night. Guaranteed.

They’ve had a lot of luck in their run to the final, City really should have beat them. I was delighted when they scored that last minute winner because I am a lot more confident of a comfortable win against Spuds than I would have been against Ajax.

Hmmm we will agree to disagree there then. And whoever we play won’t be a guarantee.

It's a one off game.

People are forgetting what Wimbledon did to us years ago.

Tbf, although we are better than Spurs we did treat them with a lot of respect. Possibly to much in the first leg.
I’ll think it’ll be tough but I’d be surprised if Liverpool didn’t triumph.

Any news on Firmino ?

Kinda hope they are at full strength too so there’s no excuses either way

I'd have preferred to play Ajax. Spurs are accustomed to playing us.

We could also feed them some lasagne the day before the final.

I remember the one at Anfield, you were rather fortunate IIRC.

I genuinely cannot believe some of the stuff you've posted about spurs. Talk about tempting fate...

I'm quietly confident, but the key word is quietly

Regardless, it's a final, so everyone's form, opinion, hopes and dreams can go flying out the window very, very quickly.

Villa play derby in the play off final today and I think it's 7-0 to villa over two games this season, let's see how it goes?

I fancy Derby smile Harry Wilson with a 30 harder and a pen. We better get him back after!

I know you say you're better than spurs, and you obviously are, but you defended awfully in that 2nd leg, you should have been over the horizon but you let them in time and time again.

Saying that, like at home to Barca I think we'll have to be at 100% to keep them out, it will be a really difficult game.

We’ve just dismantled Barcelona, literally ripped them to shreds. Messi and Suarez, arguably the two best players in the world didn’t get a sniff. If we can’t be confident after that then maybe some of you should take up a new hobby. I am certain we will beat Spurs, my only issue is that I won’t be there to see it this time.
