That doesn't make you a big club. Inside the ground it was 50/50 from what I could see.

Just 2 seasons ago no player would have chosen you over spuds and today that goes for United too.

However, EVERY season ANY player will choose a really big club like Barca or Madrid over both you, us and spuds.

That's the difference in this era.
Was not 50/50, at all, take it from someone who was inside the ground after final whistle

What makes a big club then success? Are united a big club then?

Pretty sure we're level with you on these now

VAR was supposed to bring in more consistency, from what I've seen so far, it's made things worse.

rofl Is that a flex that works with plastic liverpool fans?

"I'll have a 20 pack of nuggets with sweet and sour sauce and I went to Madrid and do you have the meal deal with ice cream cone still?"

I got attacked by a cockerel today but you dont see me filming it to show off to fellow spurs fans. Jesus autistically wept.

The number of people in Madrid isnt an argument anyway. Its like Spurs fans saying well we are so big we had to open our stadium so 60k spurs fans could watch the game on the telly you didnt so we are bigger.

It is of course nonsense its about as pointless as getting excited over a points total.

VVD is top, top quality and whether you liverpool fans want to admit it or not Real / Barca are bigger clubs and VVD isnt getting any younger.. he's got form in throwing the toys out to get his way too..

Dunno.... worked well for us.... Back then an £8 million 6 month loan was incredibly good business!

You put United in tier 1 but say why would Ericsson move to United as you're better than them, so I'm confused why VVD would leave Liverpool when we're better than Madrid.?
Simply because Madrid and Barca are in a league of their own. As has been said, you are second tier.

Please, don't try to argue Liverpool are in the same bracket, it's ridiculous.

You won't be getting the very best players in the world anytime soon but even an underperforming Madrid or Barca will continue to do so.

You'll be tier one when you can prise the world's best players away from those clubs when they are first 11 players and the club doesn't want to sell them and they are recognised as world class. Take Modric 2 years ago as just one example.

So you are tier 2 then also

So bascially tier 1 is only Madrid and Barca -

So when we took Alison from Roma who was world class and they didnt want to sell did that not count? or does it just not fit these self made rules of tier 1 tier 2 clubs

Lol Sye you don't know when to give up.

An article on 3 rumours of 3 players posted on the Spurs thread, the most pertinent for us being that there is a 90% chance that Eriksen is off to Spain this summer and yet again you've managed to turn it into a Liverpool is the bestest argument.

I tell you what, ask any neutral and they'll tell you who the tier 1 clubs are, you know why? Because it's bleeding obvious.

There is a much bigger chance of Real or Barca enticing VvD from you then you have of doing the same to one of their first choice players. Firstly they are more prestigious, no if's, but's or maybe's, they just are. If you are trying to argue otherwise, then please go and watch something else. Add in the fact that they could offer him £100m+ and £500k a week without batting an eyelid and that's why they are tier 1 and Liverpool aren't.

Right now we've established that, can we go back to talking about something more interesting, your constant "Liverpool are the best team in the world" obsession is getting REALLY old.

I think it all stems from the use of "big club" rather than "bigger club". I'd considered commenting on it, but decided everyone would know what was meant and so it was silly to comment on it and start an argument that basically everyone agrees on but depends on a slightly different ending to a word. Everyone agrees we are a big club, everyone agrees Real/Barca are bigger clubs.

I know you have this fascination with me at the moment Guv, but if you look back at my original reply to Ascay you will see what I was on about - I was simply saying VVD is at a BIG club and he is.

As someone who went to Madrid I'm shocked you don't think we're a big club considering we out numbered you there about 3 to 1
Then Smarty decided to make his own tier 1 2 3 up based on what he thinks puts you in them, I never once said we were bigger than Madrid or Barca , can you find me where I have or have you just made this up to fit your post at me again?

I'd agree that we're tier 2. Barcelona and Real I'd say are in a tier of their own. Below that you have us, Bayern, Juventus, Utd. Below that I'd say you have CIty, Chelsea, PSG, Dortmund, Atletico, Spurs, etc.

As for which club players would pick. VVD chose Liverpool and Klopp over a number of clubs including Chelsea and City. Apparently there has been interest from the Spanish clubs in VVD, Salah and Mane but have been told under no circumstances will they be sold. Keita chose us over Barcelona.
