I very much doubt Kane will be sold this year. But if he is I hope we are in. He could well be this generations Shearer and a a natural replacement for Rooney as a lone front man. We'd be gutted if we missed out and he delivered on his potential.

It's all hypothetical though for now. But we are the only club in the premier league that can afford to take these punts on potential as seen with Shaw.

Is he injured? I haven't seen him score since his England goal. He was prolific early season, but I worry that sometimes a striker appears on the scene, confuses the hell out of defenders for half the season, then gets sussed out and struggles. I'm not saying that's the case here, as he might have been injured for the past month or so.

I'll say this for Kane - he could not be worse than Van Persie or Falcao this season even if he had to play with a piano on his back.

Scenario 1: We sell DDG to RM for £50m and move on.
Scenario 2: We sign him on a new 6 year deal and move on.

If 1, so be it - either no loyalty to the club who stood by him while he really was hopeless or he's another pathetic, under-the-thumb little boy who's not strong enough to stand up to the stupid little bint who loves the money that his move to United provided but is too thick to understand what being a professional footballer means.
If 2, then great. Perhaps in 2 or 3 more years he'll turn into a decent all-round keeper rather than just the superb shot-stopper he is now. As he currently stands, he nowhere near the same league as even vdS for anything bar his shot-stopping and his domination of the box for set pieces is laughable for a top keeper. Some days he looks like he could train for another 20 years and still not be even half the player Schmeichel was.

Scenario 3: He's only a year left so once his head is confirmed as being messed with, RM try to stiff us for £2.50 and a packet of salt & vinegar. In that instance, I'd be delighted if we told them to sod off and made him see out his contract. It's not the usual automatic loss of his sale fee in this case because next summer RM may not be able to buy anyone and with a bit of luck, United will be firing properly again ready for a decent assault on the CL the following season.
With a bit of a hardline stance, players may just stop seeing us as a career stepping stone in the order of: do well at United, it's a great shop-window and you'll get an easy move to Real Madrid. Do badly, collect massive wages for remaining contract.

Good performance so far.

Arse looking to hit is on the break has not worked so far. Maybe they'll change their game plan in the second half. Maybe a chance for ADM to come on and sparkle.

Falcao still looking very poor, needs a goal.

Yep, Falcao looks like he's off for sure after that!

Feel for him, shame it's not worked out as he always looks to give 100%.

Typical irrelevant end of season game. Fourth is in the bag and little we could do to move any higher IMO.

Hope we lose to Hull next weekend to send the Barcodes down

DDG. Is a gone. just wonder if LVG was thinking to take him off and let him know how much we love him, but as it was his injury I doubt it very much.

Decent game. We played well and the performance was what mattered really, the result wouldn't have changed much in reality.

I thought Falcao played better than he did previously for us while up top on his own but obviously he's gone now. It was nice to see him touch the badge and clap, the fans wanted him to succeed as much as he wanted to and he seems to recognise that. I hope he does well at his next club, thorough professional. Never moaned.

Dave... I so hope he stays. Best signing if he does. All signs are that he's gone though.

On the plus side, a few Arsenal fans came into the bar I was at and started being s with a guy in a United top and his girlfriend until they got laid flat by others. Just about the highlight.
