Sky Sports reporting now that Steve Bruce has left Hillbrough and is currently making his way to Newcastle to finalise the deal. He is expected to arrive on Thursday

Shameful.

No players signed, owner who don't give a fk. Worst MD ever to grace a Premier league club.

Bebitez has left, two best strikers gone so we already down 25-30 goals.

Incredible fuk wittery...... My patience is wearing thin here.

Correction, Head Coach, so basically in charge of FA.

And a 3 year deal?

How long do you give him until:

Fans ring 606 asking for him to be sacked?
He gets the backing of the board
Gets sacked?

The worrying thing is the threat of relegation doesn't seem to bother Ashley. He's been through it twice and bounced back, so I don't even think a prolonged period of bad results will see Bruce under pressure.

Either way, it's going to be a long, long season.

Not for me. I literally cannot bring myself to give even a single fk about it anymore. I'm done.

It's all good though. According to the Chronic, Lee Charnley vows Newcastle United will be 'fully prepared' for the new season. I actually did LOL when I saw that rofl

Classy stuff, SWFC found out about Bruces appointment only when Newcastle announced it to the public.

Been watching the Wolves game, we look absolutely dire, as you'd expect. 3-0 down at half time.

I'm looking forward to the new season if today's tactics are to be employed. Hoof a long ball up to a lone striker with 4 defenders around him. OK, we're 3 down and it hasn't worked so far but I'm sure we will have a successful season.

I hate to be pessimistic but right now, I can only see us slide to the Championship without a fight and we've not played a Premiership game yet. I never normally do that but looking at how far we've deteriorated over the close season, how much the other clubs have invested and improved and no genius managing the club, I just can't see anything to look forward to.

I actually think there will be at least one game this season where the opponents get to double figures in the goals.

Nobody in their right mind would watch this.

Agent Ashley has to be a mackem! laugh

I'm not going to call them NUFC anymore. It's definitely now going to Sports Direct FC (or should that be FCB)

RIP NUFC 1892 - 2007.

Once it all turns to st (and it will) his excuse of the fans never accepting him as he's a former SAFC manager (just like us allegedly not accepting him because he's a Geordie) will be trotted out, mark my words.

Loves a good excuse does Fatty Arbuckle, everybody else's fault but his.

I don’t know how it’s changed today, but yesterday we were only sixth favourites for the drop. Heaven knows how there could be five clubs worse than Newcastle will be this season.

I’m the eternal optimist, but I’m struggling big time at the moment to find any shred of hope for the club.
