The Chronicle have reported that we are set to land Joelington (sp) for around £35m. Apparently Benitez didn't want him, not because he's a bad player, but because he's not worth the money. So now, with Benitez out the way, they can go ahead and sign him anyway.
What this tells me is that it's actually pointless NUFC having a manager because fatso and penfold are calling the shots anyway. The manager/coach is just a figurehead to say they have one. Why anyone in their right mind would have anything to do with this pathetic club is beyond me. Fatso probably hopes it'll placate people by smashing the transfer record....
