Doesn't seem to be about Anfield greats but those who contributed to great moments. The Panathinaikos come back involving him and Pongolle was a great moment but still a weird choice.
Olympiakos, not Panathinaikos...
Sinama Pongolle, at the age of 31, now plays in Thailand. Not one of Gerard's most inspired signings!
Not sure if you get to the ground much Flip but they have these in other stands that i can remember..not walls like this but signs high up to the side.. there is certainly one for Babbel in the centernary stand and I'm sure Mellor tbh ...RT might be able to confirm if he goes in and looks up...
Not now no - last time I got to go was in the Hodgson era. Nice idea to commemorate great moments but for the life of me I can't remember what Ryan Babel did against Arsenal that was so great it's now on a wall. Unless it was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBePBAc6hpcOlympiakos, not Panathinaikos...

Was a great game v Arsenal in the QF of the champs league, we were going out with not long left and I think SG scored a pen for us and Babbels goes cemented our place in the Semi Final for 2007 - managed o get to the final that year in Athens, joke of a stadium. Was one of thee great nights at Anfield that game
By the way there is loads of these walls in the new stadium and there is lots of signs in other stands too

I can't imagine a worse quality clip of that goal exists. m3sye said:

I can see 49% been sold if not all soon....
It would suit FSG to retain LFC as it fits well within their portfolio. With a mooted 49% sale, they'd get their investment back and possibly a tiny bit extra, whilst still retaining the majority stake in a $1bn+ asset.I can see 49% been sold if not all soon....
Werner pretty much said they were open to strategic investment - the article I read suggested significant discounts available for lower percentage as they have no voting rights on the board and a stake of perhaps 10% could be picked up for less than 80m (discounting is all relative!).
Not sure they'd sell a big proportion like 49% - the Chinese would be paying an awful lot for no control.

This Chinese group apparently have $800bn in assets. An investment in LFC would likely be 0.1% of that portfolio. I imagine for stakes over 20-30% they'd at least have a couple of people on the board. Not sure they'd sell a big proportion like 49% - the Chinese would be paying an awful lot for no control.

Frankly if we end up owned by the Chinese with their fking appalling human rights record, that's me done. My support of LFC will be historical only. Its a worse proposition than when Citeh were bought by the Thai Prime Minister, who was a right crook...

Team for Burton tonight.
Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Firmino, Mane, Origi.
Subs: Manninger, Sturridge, Klavan, Wijnaldum, Moreno, Stewart, Ings.
I hope the Lovren-Matip partnership is the start of a beautiful friendship!Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Firmino, Mane, Origi.

I would have gone with Moreno tonight; allow him the chance to exercise a few demons / gain a bit of confidence especially if he does stay with us this season. I would have put Milner in centre mid and dropped the useless Henderson. Ces't la vie...
