Wasn't really expecting anything from tonight given the way Leicester have been going but I thought that was our best performance in ages and we thoroughly deserved the win. Great to see such a solid performance at the back and going forward we always looked a threat - we didn't create a huge number of clear chances but it was still far more than they had!

A long way to go - and it's only one game - but if we can find some consistency playing at that level we'll be in the promotion mix come the end of the season.

Well deserved, we were well off it. Definitely still in with a shout for automatics.

I'm shocked!
I was ready to expect 0-0 and for it to feel like a bit of a win, or maybe lose 2-0 and to just write it off because we were up again an in-form runaway leader. I really wasn't expecting an away win! There seems to be a lot of support for Leeds from the neutrals on the forums etc.

Well off it or simply beaten by the better team?

I imagine one sort of leans into the other. Whether we were well off it because Leeds were better than us or we were just well off it I don’t know.

That was one of the worst performances this season, three or four of them were honking.

Another win chalked up and over the last 5 games only dropped 3 points (that stupid Stoke result). Only Southampton (dropped 2 points) have had a better run over the last 5 and given the results at the weekend, we're slowly reeling in the top 2 who have yet to play each other.

Plymouth should have been far easier than we made it as per the usual Leeds way of doing things. Arguably Plymouth helped out with their absolutely kamikaze defending.

Rotherham next up followed by two slightly tougher home games vs Swansea and Middlesbrough during which time Ipswich play West Brom, Millwall and Coventry and Leicester play Watford, Wednesday and West Brom... all reasonably tough games except Wednesday. Be interesting to see what the table looks like by the time Ipswich come to Elland Road just before Christmas before the Ipswich v Leicester game on Boxing Day.

Terrible tonight. Scored early then sacked it off for the evening and let Rotherham back into the game.

Yes, very disappointing. The game should have been over long before they scored and that's another two points we've thrown away; given how tight the division is we can't afford to keep doing that and I fear these sort of nights are going to cost us dear come the end of the season.

Knew Rotherham would get a point, they're actually very good at home, but truly terrible away from home.

You should have won with the chances created though tbf, unlucky with the offside at the end.

I was driving the football special back to Leeds last night.

I (and more importantly the guard) appreciated the lack of trouble thumbup

The offside decision was correct but what was frustrating was the officials managed to spot a marginal infringement like that but missed the foul on Dan James (which IMO should have been a penalty and possibly a red card). That said we should never have been in a position where the odd decision or non-decision mattered - we wasted our first half dominance and unfortunately paid the price.

Did exactly what we should have against Rotherham... Let Swansea advance up the pitch a bit and a ball over the top to any one of our strikers and bang, a goal. Instead vs Rotherham we just persisted for 80 minutes trying to pass it through a congested last third.

Thought we were excellent vs Swansea... hoping for a similar performance at ER at the weekend.

Two good home wins this week although we were maybe a touch fortunate against Boro today? Even though they were down to ten men for much of the second half we only just got it over the line and at times they played through our midfield in a way I've not seen another team do to us this season - I reckon they're out of position in the table because of their poor start and wouldn't be at all surprised to see them finish in the play-offs.

Blackburn away next Saturday and they'll no doubt be looking to put things right in front of their own supporters after losing at bottom of the table Sheffield Wednesday today. So we'll need to be on it as otherwise it will be more points dropped and the gap to the top two will be increasing again....

ETA: Just spotted Ipswich go to Boro next Saturday so hopefully Howson & Co can do us a favour and take some points off them!

Think Ipswich play Leicester and then us at ER just before Christmas too. Slowly reeling them in and although I'd love promotion, I really do love the Championship as a division. Great spread of teams from all over the country, all types of history, some brilliant players and fans...

Three more points yesterday although I'm not entirely sure the performance deserved them - mind you, we've had games we should have won where we've dropped points so maybe these things do indeed even themselves out over a season?!

Shame Leicester and Ipswich both won to maintain their cushion at the top - was hoping Boro would throw a spanner in the works for the latter but from the bit I saw of the game I have to say Ipswich were looking the better side so it was no great surprise they took all the points.

I'm ITFC and taking one game at a time and am a bit bemused at our performance thus far. I think the resources Leeds have versus ours make me very nervous and I feel we need to keep winning as I believe you will keep winning. If the situation at the top end of the table is still the same at the end of December I'd be very happy/relieved. Great year to be in the championship.
