Defence once again looks all over the place. Even watching passes across the back, they are careless and lazy, being played behind players and not accurate.

Good to see Rice back there during a head injury talking to them though .. something captain kane wouldn’t be doing, he would be standing around hands on hips

Would be good to see a goal from open play …

Cracking assist.
Yes, credit where it's due, quality pass.

Terrible mistakes, 25% possession for Belgium and leading.

Bowen, Bellingham and Mainoo look most likely to create/score. Rice doing a good job as captain.

Too bad we have 4 mid level defenders out there in Konsa, Gomez, Dunk and Chillwell.

Hope Branthwaite gets a run out to see how he does at least.

I can understand Dunk and Pickford not wanting their names on their shirts, but the others haven’t been too bad.

35 appearances in 3 seasons for one of the worst teams in the PL plus a couple of loans. That’s straw clutching at best if Dunk’s not up to it.

True, but he's been one of the better performers for Everton, not like he'd be a starter in this team anyway but like Mainoo who has played well with less experience, you never know.

Best time to give him some minutes would be in a dead friendly like this.

Foden for England. Hmmmm..

He seems to fall down a lot.

Oh look, we replace a holding midfielder with an attacking one and we score. Who'd have thought?

some very fast feet in attacking ares and good understanding br=eing built. mainoo is a prospect and has to be in the summer squad. shame the defensive options are so slim and we have a keeper who loses his head and always moments from calamity.

I still fear that even with Bellingham, Kane, Rice & Saka that Croatia & Italy will be the closest we come in my lifetime.

England blushes saved by a route one free kick . Says a lot for the current England tactics/ managers playing style .
As usual the England team obviously don't spend enough time playing together.
As for all the comments about midfield players, lots of our sparkle happens in recent times when our missing captain drops back and distributed the ball .

Although he scored I thought Bellingham was far too slow on the ball and made a lot of mistakes, an element of arrogance and believing his own hype is sitting dangerously in the horizon

Overall a very average performance again … lots of mistakes … lack of cutting edge.

It does have that feel about it, unfortunately. Far too many people fawning over him, that late goal won't help. Hopefully he's above it.

Fair result on the balance of play, considering the injuries and a very solid first time start for Mainoo. Not massively encouraging otherwise, but it's only a friendly in the end.

Because the midfielders selected aren't working.
