We just need to get an away goal when we go there. We showed some balls tonight. COYB.
I'm pretty sure away goals mean nothing unless they are scored in extra time in the second leg,

It's not like the Euro system.

You could be right. Last night the Sky commentator seemed to make a big deal of it saying Citeh have got a all important away goal. Someone will be along soon to explain.

If it's a draw at 90 mins in the 2nd leg then extra time is played. At the end of ET only then do away goals count.

So we have signed this supposed wonder 20 year kid from Grasshoppers Zurich and then loaned him back till the end of the season. I thought it would be money better spent on a defender who can defend.

yes sad to hear this, He has supported Everton since 1949 when he saw them loose 6-0 to Chelsea.

Happy with that, yet another draw, but away at City is good result.

A bit of luck really, wasn't it? but counter that with Ossie's sublime volley that was unlucky ..

I thought we were the better team in the first half, but they dominated after the break. I think Stones needs to reflect on some of his challenges around and in the box, if he really wants to live up to the hype that part of his decision making has to improve, I sometimes wonder if he's not getting a bit carried away with all the publicity. Howard was very good, given the amount of abuse he gets at GP it's no great surprise that his confidence goes at home games.

All in all I will take that result and hope that we can build on this solid defence to start winning games, Besic makes a difference for me.
