I doubt it! He must try headbut someone about 6x a year ! He is a red card waiting happen, who the CBs will told to target
Fully agree. He is a liability. We have not signed him yet so, maybe, a crap WC might give Jose second thoughts.
And hopefully Lukaku will be our main striker
Not my view. Best thing we can do is sell him and spend the money elsewhere.

I think there's as much chance of Lukaku being the main striker next season as there is of me filling the role. I think he might be one of those players who spends years and years out on loan, but never comes back to The Bridge. But who knows - he might get better next season.

As far as Costa goes, I thought he was OK-ish last night, given that he's probably still not fully match fit, and he didn't get much service from the Spain midfield who were trying the tiki taka stuff without much end product. I've posted this here before, but buying decisions at CFC aren't just the manager's - there's a committee that decides who we buy. And I think they will probably be looking at what DC did last season playing for a team that's set up to play a lot like we do, and won't be giving as much credence to what happens in Brazil with a Spanish team that plays an entirely different style to Atlético.

But we'll see in less than a month........

Probably a thank you, and goodbye.

I doubt if Cech on the bench is something he or the club really wants. We can get good money for him.

It's good news in my view.

I agree, Whilst Cech was a great player for us over many years, I feel that he hasn`t been the same since his awful head injury. He continues to perform but has lapses. Nobody wants to see him on the bench so time has come to move on, while he still has a good price on his head.

So apparently we've offered Bayern Munich £15 million for Toni Kroos.

Really? I've not heard that. I would like to hear interest in James Rodriguez, who looks an awesome player.

Deal agreed for Costa.

This jury is out on him but he can't be worse than what we already have. He can keep his thuggery at home too - we don't want another Suarez.

Terrible at the WC. Let's hope he brings his form from Atletico with him. Agreed, he can't be worse than what we've got, though I still think we need another striker for cover.

I think he is more suited to the prem. he doesn't suit Spain's tika taka style of football

This. I never quite understood why Spain lined up at the WC to play tika taka then started a battering ram up front. A barely fit battering ram for that matter....

Lukaku had a good game today too, came off the Bench at extra time, scored a goal and got an assist for Belgium.

Chances might not be high, but hope Chelsea play him next season.

Decent back up. Would be a solid LB for a mid to europa league team. Certainly no Ashley Cole, but he's reliable enough.
