Life long Sunderland fan here - ex-season ticket holder, ex-shareholder, seats from Roker in my garden, brick on the wall at SoL, etc, etc...

Newcastle born and bred, dad was a life-long NUFC fan and we didn't get on. SAFC therefore the obvious choice from as early as I can remember, and been that way ever since. Being involved in the game myself I only see them when I can fly up on an odd Saturday or hit an away game down in the South.

I end up at the Emirates more than anywhere due to my gooner kids (born down here) and entertaining clients as we have company season tickets there.

Eating sushi and drinking fine wine before heading off to my padded seat some 5 yards from my table in the Emirates is about as far removed as it is physically possible to be from wading through 6" of piss to get rid of the pre-match intake of LCL Pils at Roker Park, to then buy some watery Bovril and a luke warm meat pie with no meat before standing on a crumbling Roker End. How I miss those days hehe

ETA - a suitable subject for my 1000th post....

I'm from Edinburgh, dad from Leith, so it had to be Hibernian really.

Now that I'm down in S Hants and my lad supports Southampton I keep an eye out for their results too.

Cheeky git biggrin

I've got to see George Best wearing the green/white for half a season and had the privilege of regularly seeing Matthew LeGod strut his stuff.

Thats the point about football they think its entertainment but its not. its not like going to the theatre or the Cinema its much much more involving than that I dont think its supposed to be viewed from comfortable seats either.
The way its going it will be a crime to abuse Referees FFS.biggrin

I Follow Man-Utd, note I say follow rather than "I'm a fan of...". Dont take it too seriously, but try to keep abreast of what's going on.

I'm from Wales, only been to Manchester once, and that was travelling through! Only reason I support them is that when I was about 9 and just getting into football, an older kid that I pretty much idolised was going out with my sister, and he supported them - so I supported them too. Done deal.

19 years later and I still follow them, I thought about switching to someone else but just couldn't not follow Utd, so I stick with them.

I support the team where I grew up, through thin and thin - was the tiniest bit of thick. I cried in '99 at Wembley when Watford made it to the Premiership.

That's how it's done - none of this big club rubbish.

Come on you 'Orns!

Scouser born and bred. Supported Liverpool all my life. Started watching them when Shanks was in charge, remember the great teams of the 70s and 80s when we were winning everything. I know we've hit lean times but hopefully things will start to change with the new owners/management team. wink

Norwich City, cos I was born there (damn nearly born outside the ground as my dad's Mini Van carerred past on it's was to hospital!)

Oddly enough, both my parents hail from Manchester, so it would have been easy to support the dirty red scum I suppose - but not for me ta. smile

Manchester United.

Grew up in Wrexham and everyone was a Liverpool or Everton fan in the 70/80's. Chose United to be different. Also look out for Wrexham's result, and Chester of course (hoping they lost tongue out)

Born in Bromley Lived in Lewisham support Millwall now I've moved to Lincolnshire, still have a season ticket and haven't missed a home game.

There is no reason why, we just do...Its in your blood. I've tried going to other games in the prem. and its just not the same. Over the years I have had plenty of reason to dump my team but I would feel a traitor supporting anyone else.

I have lived in Morecambe all my life. The Globe Arena is a stone's throw away from where I live smile

Sounds weird, but I miss being in the Conference. I miss those Saturday trips to places like Canvey Island and Forest Green Rovers.

To the OP... Kevin Ellison is doing quite well here smile

Southampton fan here. Mum was born near Southampton, so all her side of the family are huge Saints fans.
