How Would You Feel About A Gay Player In The Dressing Room?
Discussion
I don't think it will ever happen in that way, the majority of players are friends, there would be some piss taking and some banter, maybe some genuine questions from some, but I could see the person asking for a separate changing room becoming the outcast.
Personally as with many things these days I think Rugby will show Football how to deal with these things properly

Yep, that's the gays for you, can't help themselves, always checking out the cocks.
DOn't they then?I don't think it's homophobic to suggest that. In fact quite the opposite.
If I shared a dressing room with women I would absolutely stare at their tits and fanny, quite likely with an erection.
Why would a gay person not do that to blokes?
In answer tot he original question I think it would be fine. In fact Id be well annoyed if the gay wasn't interested and would want to know what the hell is wring with him and his crap taste? And IM, whats with you spelling "you" like the children do all of a sudden? That must stop

If it was an attractive woman you would, but what if it was Cherie Blair for instance, would you still be copping a good look? Or Janet Street Porter?A gay mate of mine said thats the biggest annoyance about straight blokes, the automatic assumption that because they are gay, they must fancy us and want to bum us

When a mate came out one of the first things he said was "You don't need to worry, I don't fancy you". I was furious. WHy the hell not? Also, thereafter no amount of bending over provocatively, eating a disproportionate amount of lollies and bananas changed his mind. Frigid tasteless bd.e21Mark said:
Why on earth would you presume that? A woman being secure in her sexuality doesn't make her a man. The sex of an individual isn't determined by their sexual preference.
Who said I presumed it???I'm asking what the logical argument against it is.

If you're in a changing room, with eleventy three blokes getting showered and dressed, how would you even know what their sexual preference was?
Please go back and read the OP. This is about where it is known that an individual or individuals are gay. Jeepers sometimes its seriously difficult in here Look my grandad and your grandad would have been up in arms about it back in the day but they were likely all homophobes however...logically they would have had the same argument as a woman would have ie: They do not want to get undressed/naked in front of somebody who is sexually orientated towards them.
Amongst all the "man up", "should be comfortable" blah blah blah rhetoric I'm not hearing a case against a straight guy who might be upset about it - that doesn't equally apply to a women not wanting to get undressed/naked in front of a heterosexual male...yet we give her precedence in that argument...whilst coming down against the straight male in that argument and tell him to just "like it or lump it".
I don't know how many more ways I can put this.......OK, Whats the difference betw....nope, I give up.
But yes, if you can convince a judge that women should have to accept Males in their changing room on the basis that Straight guys have to accept gay guys walking in on them naked then I'm in

Same answer from me Im afraid.
As an interesting aside, if it was deemed that gay people should have a separate dressing room because of sexual interest - would they then have Male, Female and Gay changing rooms i.e. would gay men mind sharing with gay women?

I remember as a child at the beach seeing a sign for a nudist beach down the way, my mate and I told our folks we were off rockpooling and snuck down there, already with semis at the thought of the wonderful boobs we were going to see....the reality was somewhat saggier
Boobs aren't boobs to me

I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave some moments ago.ie: It doesn't fit so took the easy option.

Doesn't that kinda miss the point though Keyser?Half a dozen fat bints in the changing room aren't gonna elicit much movement in the groin area from most straight blokes unlucky enough to stumble upon them naked but they still demand the right not to be seen naked by hetero-sexual men and to have seperate changing areas.
Can I walk into a female changing room and say "don't worry girls, I won't be fancying any of you".

Surely thats the same point? The fat bints insist on a seperate changing area cos they assume they are going to elicit that groinal response, when in fact its the very opposite and they are just idiotic fat bintsHalf a dozen fat bints in the changing room aren't gonna elicit much movement in the groin area from most straight blokes unlucky enough to stumble upon them naked but they still demand the right not to be seen naked by hetero-sexual men and to have seperate changing areas.
Same with the straight blokes.
In fact were I still playing and the situation arose, I would probably inform the straight guy that he should get over himself as he really isn't all that

Well, if your goalkeeper is concerned then he can ask for a seperate changing room or wait until the scary homosexual who might fancy him is finished.Half a dozen fat bints in the changing room aren't gonna elicit much movement in the groin area from most straight blokes unlucky enough to stumble upon them naked but they still demand the right not to be seen naked by hetero-sexual men and to have seperate changing areas.

So basically we're back to "man up"
Less man up and more don't be so presumptious. As others have said most people get changed in a gym with no real thought about itim said:
Oh do feel free to let me know how you get on with that argument in the ladies changing room of your local gym
Thats kind of my point though, just because they have got their own way, doesn't make them any more right

Why would a gay person not do that to blokes?
how about if you already had your own tits and fanny and could stare at them in the mirror, and had been able to do that since you were a child? would you get a lazy lob-on looking at your self? Why would a gay person not do that to blokes?
