Ashley Cole or Baines for the Montenegro match? Baines was impressive yesterday, but it was only San Marino.

Cashley for me still. Just that bit better IMHO. Although Baines is pushing him all the way.

The deranged mutterings of a madman.
Wait, you think Terry is better than Ferdinand?
Not even worthy of serious debate. I think most Man U fans would agree. By the way, I'm talking about football. Terry is better at football than Duckface. As for who's better at being a decent human being, well that's a much closer thing to call. I wouldn't cross the road to pee on either if they were on fire. And I'm a Chelsea fan.

Bit late to this one, didn't see the game last night. Saw the news about this today... what tune was it sung to?

Terry wasn't wanted by the FA or most of the fans (read the PH thread following his retirement, hardly an outpouring of collective grief) so he called it a day, having been stripped of the captaincy twice. Plus he has genuine ongoing injury problems so I think his decision to retire was the best thing for himself and England.

But Terry never once pulled out of an England squad only to play for Chelsea a few days later. John Terry would never buckle under pressure from his club manager to pull out of an England squad. But I suppose he was lucky to have managers who actually saw the benefit of a player going away on international duty, and not one who tried to sabotage every England manager going.

If John Terry thought for one minute he would be welcomed back in the England fold , he would jump at the chance

I'm no JT fan but i would never doubt his commitment & attitude whilst playing for England. I think he was advised & certainly leant on to make the decision to retire

He wouldn't have pulled the appalling stroke that Ferdinand has done this week.

You're saying JT thought he was wanted by the FA and the fans, but retired anyway? Are you on drugs?

Unbelievably loud as well...

ITV's commentators tried to 'talk it out' but ran out of words before the song had even half finished. laugh

My nephews and I were signing along to it as we watched the game. They can hold a tune well, considering they are only 6 & 4. hehe

But wait John Terry is the Chelsea manager isnt he? at least he seems to think he is.

Still chuckling that you think Terry is a better footballer than Ferdinand.

Still waiting for a link that says Rio Ferdinand isn't playing for England because Anton was racially abused.

No are you? I am saying that JT turned his back on England by retiring. How is any of this disputable??? The manager clearly wanted Terry he'd even picked him over ferdinand for the euro's.

Terry for whatever reasons had had enough and didn't want to play for England anymore so he turned his back on them, if he'd harboured any wish to play for his country again then he wouldn't have retired in the first place would he.
