Yep, they've decided to switch from odd years to even years again to align with the WC so we get a tournament in back to back years.. frown

Since when are Japan and South Korea in Africa?

ETA - Ah, the 2024 "Asian Cup". Bad news for Spurs that, especially if Maddison isn't back from injury.

Looking forward to City's 20 point deduction, to also be applied with immediate effect.

And yet they could still stay up.

So when are City getting relegated?

That'll put them level with Burley at the bottom of the table. Not a guarantee of relegation but they've certainly got a job on their hands.

They will easily stay up. If city don’t get anything deducted it makes a mockery of the system

What have Everton done that’s so much worse than City? Genuine question by the way, outside of LFC I only have a passing interest in the game.

We'll stay up. I think we're the 5th most inform team. Better to take the deduction now than previous seasons or maybe even next season.

I look forward to City having their wrists slapped and get away with a fine...

Do we need another CB now that Quansah has emerged? VVD, Konate, Gomez, Matip and Quansah isn't bad. I guess Matip might leave soon and VVD is in decline. Still, I'd prefer a new DM and RB ahead of a CB right now.
Totally agree - I put DM before CB

CB looks OK now but:
Matip will get injured at some point and is 32
VVD is 32 and playing well but clearly playig within himself
Gomez is brittle and a better RB than CB
Quansah is promising but a WIP

But you may be right on RB first, TAA worries me, I am not sure he works as RM and he is targetted by even the bottom teams when he is RB
We should try and get 2 of those if possible next summer IMO as part of the overall rebuild. As said before defensive midfield biggest priority, CB or RB next.

I think you'll stay up but as you got 10 point deduction for 1 breach, I wonder what 115 breaches will get? (Hint: nothing)

In all this talk of a new RB, what's the plan for our vice captain?

Not saying I disagree, and have already shared my post Salah vision for the team as below, but just wondered what others are thinking.

They're jammy.

They've pulled it together enough to get 45/50 points.

I see Sobo more in the middle.

Doak will hopefully come through and claim a place on the RW.

I see Sobo and Trent being very fluid on the right hand side.

Doak is barely 18 and a long way from being a regular starter IMHO. We may need to replace Mo as early as next summer and Szobo has been very effective on the wing previously and moving Trent into a more advanced MF position allows us to resolve the RB issue finally with someone who can defend and use his talents to their fullest.

As asked earlier, if we're buying a RB what is the plan for Trent then?
