Second biggest sports franchise in the world now Got to say Ed has transformed the club from a business side and enabled us to compete financially with the oil clubs without occurring debt.
Financially we are still in fantastic shape, probably better equipped than any other football club in reality. It still irks that the glazers have used it as a cash cow though but in reality they've trousered another fortune without massively affecting ticket prices and availability, not much has changed for fans really. Shirts and media of course have paid for a lot!200Plus Club said:

I’m no fan of The Glazers, but when you consider that they’ve generated significantly more money than they’ve drained from the club, then it does show decent business expertise. I’m not sure a philanthropic owner, or fan ownership model would’ve been anywhere near as effective at revenue generation. Gavia said:

Winning is always the aim but the Glazers to be fair are masters of the art of revenue making and Utd have that in droves almost regardless of how the team do.
unless it went into a very long term decline, it would however still be " Man utd" and still a massive draw.
Anyone remember Michael knighton running out onto old Trafford pitch and juggling lol?
£20m he offered in 1989 for the entire club. Now that would have been a proper dragons den moment of investment..

Assuming he wouldn't have ruined the club (which is pretty much what he did to Carlisle when he bought them). His head was a fair amount bigger than his ability - as could be seen by the fact he struggled to find anyone to back him.unless it went into a very long term decline, it would however still be " Man utd" and still a massive draw.

Back to transfer gossip
- who else do you think we'll buy?
I think Shaw will be given a final chance with young and no left back buy.
I think we'll get one more player, poss right sided, possibly attacking bias.
I'm hopeful we actually but Harry Mcguire and pair him with Smalling or Lindeloff.
Place your bets guys

Bailly is by far and away our best centre back. He’s just always injured. If we can find a way to keep him fit then he’s who anyone should be partnered with. - who else do you think we'll buy?

Agree fully with both points. I liked the way McGuire played out of defense and drove forward for England and not something we see that much. Still hoping Jones is moved on to make room tho. 110% effort from him but not at that top level. Or is it time to let one of the younger U21 players come through? GTO-3R said:
Chong and Perreira played well apparently in the game during the night
A yes Chong another youngster stolen from a Dutch youth academy, won't get any playing time. Especially not with Mourinho around, he already send him to back the gym. Somehow Messi, Modric, Xavi, Iniesta and Rakitic look like they never seen a gym, but in England everybody is sent to the gym. Scoring from set pieces is probably more interesting.Chong could've been making his debut at Feyenoord this season, instead destined on some loan deal in two years time at Whatnot United or Bendover Rovers, owend by some doddgy Chinese, Arab or Russian with money from questionable origin.
Football used to be great.
