I mentioned Marhez as I thought he would be relatively cheap and would work well in rotation with Coutinho.

Salah for 40 million seems nuts, but last year his stats were great and inflation is ridiculous this year.

I'm with Sye on this. We have form here and Klopp pretty much said the players had all been identified.

At least it looks like we're trying for a left back, centre back and wide forward.

Now waiting just to see who the striker will be.

Its been publicised for a while that our wage structures offered on new signings have involved an element of incentive bonuses, rather than just paying out up front. Who knows the truth on this one.

Sounds rubbish - more like a story by an agent to try and get a club to pay more. It makes no sense to agree a better deal, then try and renegotiate afterwards as it will just annoy the person. Plus it shows you are willing to pay more, so gives a very bad hand even if you want to try and get the price down. Combined with all the stories about Liverpool being (effectively) outbid by City and not paying enough then it seems just some of the usual rumour clickbait/ agent trying to get more wages for his player.

Indeed. The thing about incentivised wage structure is kosher but no-one would agree 1 deal and then say "actually, we've decided we'll do it this way, is that still ok?". LFC are keeping quiet on deals as they said they would. Anything else is agents yapping or made up stories.

When fit, he's up with Kompany as the best centre-back in the PL. Completely dominates at the back and is good enough on the ball to play CM.
