Not got the same ring really has it?!
Come back lad, your home is at OT
I think that'll be Fergies' final gift, he'll announce his retirement at the same press conference that United reveal Ronnie's come back and Mourihno as his successor!!Not got the same ring really has it?!

owned in their home country, no debt allowed, cheap tickets, allowed to stand and drink during the game. Everything that watching football should be about.
The last time we were British owned was when Fartin owned us. Please don't say they were the halcyon days, everyone despised him and his approach and wanted rid. Notice the theme here?LoonR1 said:

one swallow doesnt make a summer.its only part of the equation, my point is that Dortmund are exactly what United should be. Home owned, part fan owned, low ticket prices, standing, beer allowed, loud fans generating a proper atmosphere and importantly play great football.

Home owned - Fair enough, I agree.Part fan owned - Would be nice but unfortunately no chance whatsoever of that working in the Prem, not with the sugar daddy clubs about that the wonderful Bundesliga just doesn't suffer with.
Low ticket prices/standing/beer allowed - Can't have standing due to regulations which unfortunately won't get changed, even with recent revelations. Beer at OT is ste anyway and the namby pamby types would never allow it again here because it's the root of all evil. Ticket prices would be lower with standing allowed but as said, it'll never happen again. Also if you stand, you get kicked out. Cheers stewards/Manchester council.
Fans generating a proper atmosphere - Won't change unless ticket prices are lowered allowing the types that would actually sing and stand all game back in. Instead we're stuck with daytrippers and those types that give you evils if you even attempt to open your mouth and disrupt their nice quiet match. Plus families, far too many families. The Stretford End lower is the family section for gods sake, how can that be? You'd never have the lower part of the Sudtribune at Dortmund given to families to sit in all their megastore garb and read their programme whilst the game is on.
Great football - Well we have in the past and we're capable of doing it in the future. Whether SAF actually figures out how to use Kagawa/RVP/Rooney effectively before he retires is another matter though.

Home owned: doesn't matter to me. Give me a US or Far East based United fan over a Brit businessman any day. It's about having an owner who is a genuine fan rather than someone just playing t it as a hobby or status symbol. Or worse a UK businessman who wants to do it properly but hasn't got the wealth to do it really. Newcastle are home owned and for all their luck last year their owner is still despised. its only part of the equation, my point is that Dortmund are exactly what United should be. Home owned, part fan owned, low ticket prices, standing, beer allowed, loud fans generating a proper atmosphere and importantly play great football.
Part fan owned: never work in this country. The only clubs to try are in the lower leagues and they just can't survive in those divisions let alone the PL.
Low ticket prices: we were an anomaly. We had the lowest prices in the PL which was brilliant. The Glazers have brought our tickets in line with other clubs pricing structures. They're all a rip off now IMO.
Standing: never going to happen courtesy of an incident in a Sheffield stadium 23 years ago.
Beer allowed: see above
Loud fans: I was one of those bit as time wore on I moved and became less vocal. Guess that's age creeping up on me. It'll be the same for many others. The one thing I hates was the constant whingers though they should e the first to go.
Great football: no argument from me. That was a big reason why I stopped going. I was fed up with watching boring pass it around at the back football. It reminded me of Liverpool in the 70s. We have an attacking culture but that has gradually disappeared in favour I a functional 2-0 win. I blame Mourinho for that style pervading the PL.
Evra has been poor for several years, even before his brother died ,the number of goals we concede from his side has been disproportionately high for at least 3 years.
As someone said on another forum,de gea has one poor game in 30 and gets dropped ( apparently fergy had a go at him after the Fulha, game,de gea had the audacity to answer ferry back hence his 'being dropped') .
Dortmund did to city what Bilbao did to us last year, they were better all over the pitch and ha
F a yard faster everywhere,I was looking at katana thinking what must he be thinking he joined a much worse team.
