Mata, Matic, martial, DDG, Romero, Jones, and unfortunately Dan James for me all need to exit stage left with our heartfelt thanks but time moves on. Squad refresh drastically needed. Everyone seems agreed on what we will need to try and push on. Talk is a 3yr deal looming for OGS, probably just about earned it at a push and has to take his chances now within 2 seasons to formulate a definitive style and stop our leaky defence costing us points.
I'm quite looking forward to the next couple of seasons if we continue the refresh.

I’m somewhat in agreement with 200’s post but I’m a bit worried about the new contract for a manager who’s not yet proved he’s up to it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in the OleOut camp but I’m firmly in the OleNeedsToImproveInCertainAreasEspeciallyTactics camp. Given time I think he can be good enough and he does a lot of the other stuff very well like clearing out and being tough enough with idiots (and obviously love him as a bloke). I’m just not certain he can get there quickly enough.

Catch 22 though if you aren't going to back him in transfers you can't offer a contract for 3 years or whatever and vice versa. Realistically he's probably just done enough with improving the general mood within the club and appeasing supporters that sacking him now would be quite harsh, and last season it appeared we had just started to turn a corner with improved signings more of the Utd type of player such as Bruno etc. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in the OleOut camp but I’m firmly in the OleNeedsToImproveInCertainAreasEspeciallyTactics camp. I don't think he'll see the full 3yrs if they do give him the signings this summer though and we don't get another push out of it. A poor run next season and low finish could easily see the end of it tbh.
