The Leister City dream story aside, 3 points won today would have been very nice in light of the City result

I personally don't think I'd have stuck Rojo on Morgan, he got pushed off so easily.

Anyone else notice that Leicester were dross again today? The worst ever winners of the league by a million miles. They made Utd look good.

I agree about the 2nd half, though - the players were obviously told to keep the ball and bore Leicester to death. It almost never works.
How can you say that? Look at the table ...

Oh, what you mean they're not full of underperforming superstar players on £100k a week - not just you - all the top clubs ...

Matches aren't played on paper. For a team who are apparently 'dross' as you put it - without their talisman striker to have 14 attempts away at OT is pretty good isn't it.

Okay, it wasn't all silky, one-touch football, but that only gets you so far in the Prem, as this season has proved. But Leicester CAN turn it on when they want.

Your arrogance is unreal. Someone else has won 'your' title - again. Deal with it!

They played on the counter attack and were very effective I thought. We have no clue up front and look weak at the back. And have a st midfield. Other than that, we're bloody good and we dominated posession.

Fair result in my view.

I hope Felaini gets a ban tbh, might help teach him not to use his elbows which seems to be a recurring theme with the sly fker.

Yeah it's a bit ridiculous - he will get a retrospective ban though I'm sure. I really wanted to like him as a player for us, and he does give it his all mostly, but he just has that nasty edge and it is either too ingrained for him to change it, or he is just too stupid - in neither case a punishment will help. So we will be without him as an option for the run in, but at least that means Herrera should get more time.

Van Gaal's comment though - bit of an insight into home life with louis there laugh

Well put.
I was at OT today. United showed promise in attack but could not defend a leaky curry in a paper bag.
Leicester may well be the most effective team in the league but looked about 20% better than when we pasted them for fun.
IE the league is weak and United are at a low ebb.

You'll have to explain how that makes me 'arrogant'. Should I pretend I think Leicester play good football? Do you think they do? I doubt it.

I agree completely that the players have performed brilliantly - far, far above themselves. By contrast, all the big teams have massively underperformed.

Leicester will do extremely well to get top 4 next season.

Oh dear Ord. How can you possibly say that Leicester were dross? If you really think that they are, where does that leave your highly paid lot?
Dross does not leave a team about to claim the title. If they were dross why did you not win?
Perhaps you think only the "top" teams should be allowed to win the title. Clearly a Man U fan rather than a football fan.

+1. Leicester play well on the counter & they press well, but its not stunning stuff to watch most of the time. They will struggle in Europe next year and then at home as well IMO. They've also been incredibly lucky with the tiny number of injuries they've had.

Nonetheless, the opportunity has been there and they have grabbed it - for which they undeniably deserve what they have achieved.

Even if they were dross (which they weren't), so what? They've been superb all season and bound to have a dip in quality/energy at some point. The fact they still managed a comfortable point against Man U at Old Trafford suggests they were far from dross.

And as for how they have played this season. As a complete neutral, I'd rather watch Leicester City every week than the stilted, negative style that LVG has played for 80% of the games this season.

So what?...nothing.

Its just a sad indictment of the state of the Premier league at the moment. Utd have been dross, so have Liverpool. Spurs & Arsenal have choked, god alone knows what has happened to Chelsea & City have blown hot & cold all year.

Leicester have taken full advantage and good luck to them, but they are not the best team to win the league in the last 10 years, not even close.

It's an old saying in football but, " you play what is in front of you" So, why the negativity towards Leicester?
So the glamour teams, players have not won the league, why not be pleased for the game and enjoy the David and Goliath moment?
This, Leicester are not worthy attitude is a bit galling to be honest.
Maybe you should for a little league of your own?

Try reading what was said. Nobody said they don't deserve to win it. They do because they have scored more points than everyone else.

Does that automatically make them a great side? No it doesn't. Does it mean nobody can make an observation about them? No it doesn't. Just the same as its often been said around here that the last Utd side to win the title were running on empty. We are nothing if not fair/honest around these parts!

That David/Goliath thing is all well & good, but it doesn't change the fact that a number of clubs (not least of which Utd) have seriously under-performed.

Wombat, happy to join " around these parts" Just saying that Leicester have played what has been put in font of them and have prevailed. What more do you want from a team?
Sorry your team hasn't made it.

This. And everything that ORD has written.

Leicester deserve to win the PL this year, but let's not kid ourselves, they are not a great team and their performances have been about shocking teams and grabbing points. They've done a brilliant job of it and it's rare that any team can do it for a full season, but they have.

Nobody is slagging Leicester off. They have done a brilliant job, but they're not a great team. We were st when we won our last title. Sometimes being crap works for you, but let's be honest, City are a much better team, as are Chelski and arguably Arsenal. We're not, but I can live with that.

Bold bit - no, that is EXACTLY what they are!

The others are not better teams, they are teams containing individually better players - there is a big difference.

And you say nobody has slagged Leicester off? - they've been called 'dross' a few posts before this ... !

No one is saying they are the best team 'on paper', worth the most, play the best football etc - but to say they have 'grabbed' points is laughable! They went to City and won 3-1 pretty easily, did pretty well against Arsenal with 10-men - defended too deep but that's another story ... and have won against most of the other sides in the top half and the bottom half - especially when the heat and the pressure was on - away at Palace, away at Sunderland - games they HAD to win to be in the position they are now. The Champions League is going to be a great experience if you're a fan - I hope they don't get taken apart in the games, I really do.

But this is just Utd fans moaning cos as usual, if they're not winning much (anything) there is some conspiracy - and if it isn't Souness behind it, it's Martin fking Tyler!

20+ years ago when you started your Prem dominance, you had Arsenal to worry about and then Blackburn for a season ... and who else? The Geordies for a season I think - no-one else really ... then Chelsea came along - then City ... no Spurs ... all with more money and able to attract better players etc ... so get used to the fact that that dominance has gone, more than likely forever - it won't happen again. I know you think you ought to be in the mix cos of who you are, but that's life ... !

The arrogance comes form thinking you just 'should' be in the top four, becuase you've won the thing countless times before. Means nothing., Every season is different, as this one has proved. Someone else bar a top club winning the thing is superb, for the game itself, the neutral footy fan and for everyone else who supports a Leicester-type club who can believe there IS hope for their club maybe ...

Can't quite believe the negativity towards Leicester. Yes it's been a poor league, but you don't generally get lucky winning the league over 38 games. As a team, they have been exceptional. Just to put it into perspective, they'll finish well above at least 18 teams, 2 of which have made the semis of the Euro competitions, and who may both still go on to win those competitions.
