Note to self: Next time a ManU fan accuses Chelsea or Citeh of trying to buy the title.......
Seriously though, don't you think LVG is missing the problem ? You can have all the best strikers in the world but if you cannot defend (either because of the system or the players), then your success is limited.

Don't Madrid usually buy players who are at the very top of their game though rather than those that have either been out with long term injury (Falcao), can't get a game at their current club (Mata) or are highly valued based solely, as far as I can tell, on reputation rather than their actual performances (Di Maria)?

Yes and no, how many goals did we score in our last 3 games?

3/10, its all about the timing. Not sure you'll get the required bites today, we're all in shock/on cloud 9

And why not start the day with a headline grabber that shows our intent, thus making the finalisation of some other deals a little bit easier and less hyped? Not sure we can be accused of overlooking defence - Rio, Vidic and Evra out, Rojo, Blind and Shaw in.anonymous said:

Dress it up as you want. ManU are a club in debt, maybe not as a company but the Glaziers are to buy it. Much rather have a chairman who can write off £1bn than ones which service it from Wonga.com. And their debt is alot harder to service now you have a limited revenue stream (no CL, mid table).I suspect this summer is more of a sign of desperation from the Glaziers than LVG.
