Fred looked good, should make a good difference ,a huge upgrade on Fellaini and Herrera .
While freeing up Pogba so he can be the catalyst behind our attacks

Have to say Sanchez looks like he is in beastmode...if we get a 2015/16 version we will be just fine
Herrera seems to be on a mission. He covered every blade last night and scored a peach. He is still a valuable member of the squad. Fred may well prove an upgrade but he appears to have given Herrera something to prove. No bad thing.

Enough of this positivity, can we please get back to being miserable tts now?
Well you did only have 25% possession and completed half the passes that real did so it doesn't sound like Jose is changing his game plan much. Hows that? laugh
I heard they hammered us 0-0 in the second half. We ran out of steam apparently.

The USA tour has been a joke to be honest. Can't wait for the proper footie to start.

No doubt he can do a job ,but usually the ball goes
Sideways or back with him,Fred showed far more craft and skill in getting the ball forward.

I agree on the craft and skill. He looks a really good addition. His 30 yard back heeled pass to start an attack being one juicy example.

Yes, but can he do it on a rainy night in Stoke? biggrin

We’ve played that formation in all the friendlies. Can’t see him changing it unless we get off to a really bad start.

If he goes 352 then a ball playing CH Is the missing piece.

I'm sure that's what ABUs are Hoping!

Being on an extended hol I've had a lovely lunch with fellow Utd fans concluding that as ever the press Jose is an act. It's disguising the gelling of a master plan behind the scenes that will leave all trailing in our wake.

It's a boozy lunch.

If he goes as a World Cup winner it won't be cheap. I love him to bits but if he wants to go, and that's the key point if he wants to go then we cash in.

I don't think he does.

But. He's had a chat with fans on instagram this week and stated the no daft haircuts etc at the World Cup was to focus on the football. To give no excuses other than football if he failed. Well I'd like that fking focus during his day job please. I think it's coming....

He could be a factor in a resurgent united this season or he could be an indulgence. Personally I think the former and an on fire sanchez leaves Pogba to quietly(ish) get on with being the supporting audience. It's what he did for France.

I think giving him the captains badge would be the making of him. He was a leader for France in the dressing room and on the pitch!

Good shout, he did look like a leader out there. Especially the team talk video I've seen.

Completely agree, which is why I've been hoping the rumours about us wanting Maguire are true. It doesn't even have to be Maguire, but I think signing any ball playing CH is essential for us in the next week or so before the window closes.
