So a genuine question, have Arsenal made a step forward this season after getting rid of Wenger?
Yes, in that, had he stayed, almost certainly, they would have finished lower in the league, and not got to the final of the EL either.

Given the other issues off the field at the club, I don't think Dick has done too badly in the circumstances.

I think fans need to be more realistic about what the future holds though.

How are players like Jenkinson still at Arsenal?
He was given a contract on way more money than he’s worth, £45k a week I believe. Are you surprised he’s decided to just run it down? I don’t want to disrespect the guy as he’s a Gooner through and through, pics of him as a kid with Arsenal posters in his bedroom, but realistically he’s a championship level player at the very best.

Ozil strolling off the pitch, didn't even look at his replacement never mind give him encouragement.

He sat in that dugout mouthing something off. You could see Nketia wasn't interested.

The club needs to get rid of Ozil. Enough is enough.

Disgraceful.

I'm sure we'd all do the same in his position. It was more aimed at what person on the Arsenal board thought he was a good investment for a long term contract when your ambitions should be aiming for top 4 minimum every year.

imo Arsenal's current predicament is because this was the limit of their ambitions for the last 10 years or so.

If you want mediocre that's what you will end up with.

Until you then become ste !

Will that help? Chelsea will be the only team south of the river to win the Champions League.

Last night I wasn’t too pissed off. But
chewing on it, sat on my mower cutting fairways I’m properly fked off with that bunch of bottle jobs!

Without that champions league money we are properly stuffed, what decent defenders are going to want to join us?

Words can’t describe how much I want sp*rs to get stuffed Saturday, but going by previous experience I shouldn’t get my hopes up laugh

yes I lived there for 4 years so can confirm the fact that Chelsea FC, whilst not actually in Chelsea, is indeed north of the river.

Has Sparky ever been?

Haha. It feels south of the river from where I live.

Can we reword the song to be "the only team south of the Cromwell Road to win the Champions League"?

Two points.

If you're trying to argue that having Carl Jenkinson around the squad at Arsenal is a good move for an ambitious team (the same Jenkinson that couldn't get into Birminghams starting 11), then I really don't know what to say to you...

On reflection after last night, we were slightly better than Chelsea in the first half but have no midfielders who can add an extra gear to the game like Chelsea did in the second half... it has been the story of the last 5 years or so, start well for first 15 and lose 4 goals to a top team.

I do think if we had Ramsay in the first half we would have gone in up at halftime - we need someone of that ilk to drive into the box from midfield

Yep, I genuinely did not know he was playing as I missed the first five minutes so hadn't seen the line ups etc. Shocking contribution.
