A-men. Beyond that, I don't care. He's the best we can wish for, that's enough for me.

The highest attended football match in Scotland for 30yrs will be a friendly between Liverpool and Napoli at Murrayfield tomorrow.

I didn't know there were that many Napoli fans in Scotland.

Could be a very good signing if reports of his talent are anything to go by. Snapping up some good prospects; really hope we can convert 3 or 4 in the next couple of years.

That's impressive. Do they normally play football at Murrayfield? Have Celtic and Rangers played there over the last 30 years?

Loads of Italian's live in Scotland, not surprised it is being well supported.

Very impressive. Didn't they also set record attendances at Wembley and the MCG for friendlies?

Hopefully getting a better haircut! Looks a right mess - Bale and others have a lot to answer.

Has an Andy Carroll look about him. Let's hope the similarities stop there.

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Origi.

Substitutes: Lonergan, Lovren, Gomez, Lallana, Brewster, Lewis, Hoever, Duncan, Wilson, Elliott, Van den Berg.

Ryan Kent is ill and new boy Elliot wears No. 67. Hopefully he turns out to be Trent+1 wink

Ooops. 0-2 down. Anyone else worried about our pre-season form going into August?!

Am I misremembering or did this lot also do a job on us on the group stages of the champions League?

We beat them at home, and they beat us away.

This lack of form (granted it is pre season) is a bit worrying. Hopefully it doesn’t carry over into our first month or so of the season.

Doesn’t help that 4 key players (Alison, salah, mane and firmino) still haven’t returned to training yet thanks to their AFCON and Copa America involvement. Due back tomorrow, with a week until the charity shield.

It really highlights the reliance we have on the front 3! Back up is fairly makeweight.

Ox looks well off the pace (again!). Going to take him some time to get back up to full operating temperature. Not surprising really given how much time he has been out of the game. He needs both minutes but also carefully managed back - some frustrating performances are to be expected and will need the fans support.
