OK, reading back to someone elses words I can now understand what you were saying. Perhaps you could have been clearer?

Chelsea fans should be truely ashamed.

on this thread? i don't see anything...?

i really feel for the spurs fans - despite the amount of stick they give us on here. one thing that bugs me from yesterday: the commentators and pundits seemed to think that playing the advantage when ade was taken out was the right thing to do. i'd have taken a red and a pen every time! with 10 men and with the amount of time left in the game Chelsea would have changed their shape and spent the rest of the game defending...

If Bale had of blasted the ball over the net on purpose, would the red card and penalty been awarded?

I was wondering this yesterday, because I would have thought that would have changed the game massively.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, in those few seconds I doubt wether Bale even thought about the outcome of missing the back of the net.

When this happens in the final I want to see Suarez pick the ball up and force the referee to send off their keeper.

At some comments during our game.

It's tough on Spurs, I didn't think they would win but 5-1 and the goal that wasn't. That must hurt. You can't give a goal if don't see the ball go over the line. Atkinson never did so why he thought it must have I would love to know.

He could have brought it back for the original foul and therefore awarded a pen but he couldn't have awarded a red in retrospect. As i understand it you can only award a yellow/red in retrospect (having initially played advantage) if the original foul was due to violent misconduct, which it wasn't in this case.

Later on in the game I remember Lennon being caught in the box but he stayed on his feet, in the end it amounted to nothing (he did his usual crap attempt at a cutback). It really pissed me off that you get punished for honesty in the modern game.

I prefer to see Carroll do it. It'll be good practice for him to find out what a ball feels like and Suarez already has too many 'ball to hand' moments to his name! hehe

I've just about recovered from Saturday.

If I see us play 4-4-2 again with Henderson on the right I think I might explode in temper.

How about Henderson on the left?

Everton offered very little, didn't show up at all in the second half and even then we needed a horrendous error to score our first goal.

Still I'm sure some will have us believe we won because of Dalglish's team selection and formation.

Maybe Dalglish can motivate his players to turn up for our remaining league games.

So far in the cup competitions we have beaten/knocked out:

Chelsea
Man City
Man United
Everton

We already have 1 cup and we are in the final of another. Can we not have a little faith in Kenny? Not even a little...? Or did we win all the above and all the other cup matches in spite of his team selections/formations as well?

No because some on here who claim to be supporters can never be happy. If we win it was crappy, the players were crap, the manager is crap and we wreer lucky, if we lose the players were crap, the manager is crap ad infinitum !!!!

I think downing earned himself a start following the way he played against Everton. I think Hendo should be in the center to offer a bit of industry against Chelsea as they are strong through the center. My team would be:

reina (i think he's elligable for this?)
johnson skyrtl agger enrique
kuyt hendo spearing downing
gerard
suarez

kuyt will help cover johnson and keep cole quiet. enrique needed for his speed and tracking bonsingwa/ramires, downing will also help with this. hendo and spearing as 'engines' to track mata and lamps all day and generally annoy the fk out of them.

gerard and suarez for quick counter attacking. gerard was poor for me against everton - i hate to say it but i just don't feel he has the legs to get all over the pitch like he used to. in an attacking role where he doesn't have to worry so much about tracking back i think he's still world class.

a bit contraversial leaving carroll out but i think we would do better against chelsea with quick counters and carroll's touch is still a bit iffy and he invites too many 'hoofs'..

Nooooo.

If we lose then the manager was crap and the players were awful, especially those that have signed in the last 12 months.

If we win, the manager was crap and the players have some how conspired against the manager to put in a performance good enough to beat the opposition, ignoring any team talks, tactics or anything else the manager might have said or done to try and mastermind a win.

Every. Time.

Well it seems that some are happy to point the finger at everyone BUT the manager when we lose but when we win it's because of Dalglish.

I'm made up we won but you can't have it both ways. The team selection was poor and Everton played poorly. The first half was as bad as anything I've seen.

We equalised because of a bad back pass, not because of any tactical change. The only tactical plus for me was that I thought Downing did much better on the right.

Best case scenario is Dalglish to win the FA Cup and move upstairs.

Still supporters like myself are off to Wembley. Anyone else going? smile

Not quite. Most of us are happy to say when we think the manager has cocked up. Like everyone else I don't think putting Henderson on (either) wing is a good managerial decision.

Most of us, however, don't have extremist views.

Carragher and Agger cocked up to allow Everton to score their only goal (and let them have one of only a few chances). The cock up was simply down to miscommunication, and probably a little bit of lack of leadership on Carra's behalf due to being out on the sidelines for so long. Either player should and could have taken charge in that situation and it was Carragher that acted first. I, and probably a number of other level headed folk on here, don't think that that tiny mistake should cost Carragher the right to ever start a Liverpool match ever again!

Carragher's mistake was nothing to do with how old he is, how he lacks any real pace now. Unfortunately it was just 'one of those things'. A mistake very much along the same lines as the multiple own goals he's scored. Even though the frequency of these mistakes isn't increasing, I can't imagine any one would have been demanding that Carra be dropped from the starting line up forever more after he scored the Chelski own goal a few years back!

I was there and it was a bit sickening to be honest. Still, you can see from that shot the big red patch of 'missing' fans so they needed everyone to be quiet so that they could be heard.
