I have lived in Morecambe all my life. The Globe Arena is a stone's throw away from where I live
Sounds weird, but I miss being in the Conference. I miss those Saturday trips to places like Canvey Island and Forest Green Rovers.
Canvey are in the Ryman Prem alongside my side Kingstonian. It's still a crap hole of a place! lol. Mind you, Concord Rangers is worse. Nice enough ground, but situated right next door to a sewerage works.Sounds weird, but I miss being in the Conference. Didn't they become a different team and drop a few leagues? Nice...
When I was at Canvey, I have vivid memories of a fat gangster-type bloke in a long coat (think Snatch) pointing in my face and giving me a telling off for saying one of their plays went to ground a bit too easily.
I was waiting for Brick Top to appear and feed me to the pigs!
Nothing wrong with sewage works. I used to run one that treated 87 million litres a day. I never had a cold/flu until I left
I was born in Southend on Sea.
So obviously i support Colchester ,their arch rivals.
My parents moved from Col to Southend and after moving again to Middlesex,we used to visit
a big friend of theirs near Colchester and their older son took me to Layer road on Saturday
afternoons,so just stuck with them through thick n thin.
Dont go to many matches as 85 miles to ground.
