Not his finest hour. But nowhere near his worst. The rebound hit his hand rather than his hand go searching for the ball imo
You need to look at it again wink his hand moved to the ball.

Shame, but its not like he hasn't got form.

Nine years ago this weekend, Yeovil Town were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup.

The second goal came after a Liverpool player cheated by diving over the leg of a Yeovil player to win a penalty.

Nothing changes...hehe

A blatant handball, you can not defend him on that. He knew exactly what he was doing! Mansfield should have had at least two handballs too, shocking reffing..

Now before the inquiry, I think to be honest where is his hand supposed to go? its at pace, it was not the same ilk as Maradonna now was it!!

I would love to see more honesty from players across the board, he could have said that he handled it there suarez I guess, but apart from that not sure what else your supposed to do!

Shame for the cup tie though even as a red!
I'm sorry, but saying where is his hand supposed to go is not on in this instance. He moved his hand towards the ball, controlled it then tapped home. He cheated, pure and simple.
If a defender handballs in the box, it's a red card and a penalty. If a striker does the same thing and the ref sees it, it's a yellow card. Something not right there. Deliberate handball in the box by defenders or attackers needs to be red cards.

Happy to be corrected and will wait for the replays. Mansfield have come out in the second half and played very very well. They could have at least had a penalty themselves too.

Sorry . I assumed you were watching the match on TV and had already seen the conclusive evidence as highlighted by the commentators as soon as they had seen it again.

I assume they are all part timers. With that in mind, anyone know what Jonjo Shelvey does for a living ?

Bit irrelevant unless Mansfield score a goal.

But not a great bit of sportsmanship I agree.

I'd rather him not play if he blatantly cheated like the red # 7 did . Disgusting imho

Eh ? How is it irrelevant ? The chaos theory not something you are familiar with I take it ?

Sad as it sounds, they are professional footballers who play to the whistle, hundreds of players "cheat" every game, by not declaring the ball hit them for a Corner/throw in, ball crossing line /not crossing the line/ pulling shirts in the penalty area, being slightly offside, wrapping arms around people etc etc etc.

Any footballer who told the ref every time they did somthing outside the rules the game would barely get played! Of course no one wants to see it, but it goes on & Suarez handling is no different to a defender holding onto someone in the box.
