Oh wow, that must be great. We're used to having things to show for it at the end of a season here and I'm not talking about DVDs. hehe
Why bother winning stuff just to get your arse handed to you by yet another Spanish club the following season?

Nah, we'll stay at home and watch thanks. whistle

Deuce.
I suppose you're correct if your idea of a successful season is saving on your clubs travel costs.

Spurs are exceptional at that in Europe. smile
Yeah, we don't waste money just to come home with our tails between our legs. biggrin

Back to Bale though...

No, he's not as good as Ronnie yet but he has the potential and anyone who's ever watched a game of football can see that.

He's certainly the most valuable player in the UK at the moment and by some margin.

I don't think Bale is as bad as Digi is making out, he does go missing from time to time. Would I have him in the Utd team? Yeah probably as long the the price was decent.

As for being better than Ronaldo. Well I mean I've read some funny stuff on the net, some weird stuff and some downright wrong stuff. But fk me sideways with a plunger if that statement isn't the funniest, weirdest and strongest thing I have ever read. I must have missed Bale just missing out on the Ballon D'or or doing it at 2 of the top clubs in Europe.

Funny as fk. I do like Stepping but sometimes you just need to put down the crack pipe.

Will all you Spuds be equally complimentary about Bale when he leaves at the end of the season, after another year without CL football looms?

I had to come out of retirement for this.

Hope you're happy im? hehe

Come on. That is a joke right? He thinks he's CR7 but in reality he's not even close and I doubt he ever will be.

Yeah, he aint Ronnie yet. The Spanish league will suit him down to the ground, he'll have time on the ball and space thathe doesn't get over here. TBH Messi and Ronnie wouldn't be quite the wonders they are in Spain. Ronnie was a 84 goals in 196 games over here...over there he's 133 goals in 122 games laugh

And thats what wins him the balloon d'or. The well documented Latin bias of that prize. 2 EPL winners in 25+ years or somesuch.

Bale's one footed and was constantly shown inside by United on to his right, he hasn't the tricks of Ronaldo to move the ball around to where he can cause the most damage. He's a good player Bale with bags of pace but he's got a long way to go until he can be considered to be better than Ronaldo. laugh

We've been here digifail, and you've been proven wrong by just about every commentator and now I'll do it again...

"One good game every 5" you say.

Or is it Man of the Match in his last 2 games with a "wonder goal" in the 3rd.

YOU need to actually watch a match or two before posting.
I do watch him and have watched him close up. He is inconsistent, before the last 3 games he was anonymous for 5 games, even against Leeds aside from one cross he was kept quiet by a 19 year old rookie. Look you are a Spurs fan and one of the characteristics of being a Spurs fan is to be hopelessly optimistic with big Spurs tinted specs, when he leaves you if he has the ambition to do it, you will see that he soon gets found out. He is a good player there is no doubt about that, just limited in his overall play and as I say the most overrated player in the history of football, the Jeff Stelling article is proof of that.

British players or just playing in the Premier League?, if just British, Wilshere and Rooney are both far better and more valuable players.

Neither will fetch the fee that Bale will bring in, sorry.

I think it may have been Digi that suggested De Goo was worth more than Bale.

Correct because Wilshere and Rooney are both at big clubs so are unlikely to move. The overrated monkey is at a feeder club.
