Did anyone hear on TalkSport the guy who rang in and said that Jenas is only made to look crap by having to do the work of two and in fact it's Zokora who is a waste of space...?
Yep, I think he has a point. Zokora is garbage for 8 mill. Him hugging all the Arsenal players before the derby last year was cringeworthy. One of the callers said Jenas is the worst Spurs player in their history, which is complete rubbish. Worse than Illie Dumitrescu?Did anyone hear on TalkSport the guy who rang in and said that Jenas is only made to look crap by having to do the work of two and in fact it's Zokora who is a waste of space...?
I cannot believe I am seeing that.
Agree about Zakora and Jenas though. Both are a ludicrous waste of money.
To say that Jenas does the work of two is mind boggling. I have lost count of the number of times I have screamed 'You lazy bastard' at the top of my voice as he walks disinterestedly around the pitch when Spurs are one nil down.

The bottom line is this, I am a football fan and some of best days following the Arse were when the Spuds had a half decent team (Gazza, Lineker etc) the last 10 years has seen the games become increasingly meaningless to Gooners as our main rivals have been Liverpool Manure and Chelkski. Your whole season each year seems to revolve around two games against us, even to the embarrasing point of acting like you had won the league when you got a draw.
The worst thing you can do is rip Jol to pieces as he is your best chance of success. That said spending 17m on Bent instead of a creative midlfielder and adequate defensive cover was total folly. You already had 3 excellent forwards so why buy Bent? Although now Berbatov is injured you might need him.
.
Pains me to admit it but I agree with every word of that except about Arsenals rivals. The worst thing you can do is rip Jol to pieces as he is your best chance of success. I don't think even and Arsenal fan can kid themselves that they are still in the race with the other 3.
I don't know what makes you say that, we finished 4th only on goal difference last season because the donkey Baptista missed a last minute pen against Portsmouth on the last day of the season and Harry Kewell hit an injury time equaliser at the same moment!
We beat Man Utd home and away drew twice with Chelsea and beat Liverpool three times in all competitions. I expect to be battling it out with Liverpool for 3rd again to be honest as the kids are still young but you never know. We haven't finished out of the top four in a decade so we have every right to consider ourselves one of the top four.
I dont regard Spurs as our rivals and haven't since Terry Venables was the manager, and neither does any other Gooner I know. However, football is cyclical and things could change.

I don't know any non Arsenal fan who believes that they will finish any higher than 4th (including bookmakers and sports writers).
I might be wrong. Like any good Spurs fan I stop listening the milisecond anything positive is being said about them and listen intently to anything negative, nodding furiously and vehemently agreeing regardless of my knowledge on the subject
Meanwhile over at The Emirates Peter Hill-Wood looked at Arsene and said:
"Now Mr.Wenger, we sent you a letter the other day telling you we weren't really happy that we like to consider ourselves one of the, ahem, big four and yet we don't seem to be challenging United, Chelsea and Liverpool."
Wenger somewhat predictably said:
"Letter?
I did not see it."
I did not see it."

Back on topic, what do you guys think of whats gone on this week? I find the whole thing unbelieveable. Jol has definiatley taken Spurs forward in the last couple of years from mid table obscurity to top 6 finishes.
To treat him like they have is beyond belief. It's also ridiculous to demand Champions league Football when only one team has broken into the top four in a decade (Everton)
I actually think Jol should have quit on principle.

Despite all the banter, I've been quite impressed with THFC under MJ. As you suggest, he could have walked, but he's still there... we might be seeing another Ranieri-type situation.
