Had you won there would have been some undoubted piss taking on our thread, agree every club has some posters that take it too far, but most have been sensible
Precisely. This obsession to paint all fans with the same brush is frankly laughable. I understand there are a few tender souls on here who are witnessing their team go alarmingly backwards whilst seeing us continually move forwards. It must hurt, I get that but don't move on to bin-dipper tropes to as a release mechanism laugh.

I think the bigger question that they should be asking themselves is how Jose has failed to evolve as a manager. He took a long time out of the game to reflect on his failure at United; surely he must have analysed that his defensive approach is now dated when the likes of Pep and Klopp have moved the game on. When his back was up against the wall and it came to the crunch, he reverted to what he knows best - his sad indictment of anti-football.

To be fair to Jose (and I don’t like the man) he inherited a side that was regressing alarmingly. He will do a decent job of stabilising and will make spurs harder to beat and pragmatic. I don’t think he will modernise and build another really good side with a medium budget but maybe that’s the next guys job in 2-3 years time.

2-3 years of under-investment has taken its toll, if you looks at the Spurs side 3/4 years ago (yes they spent big on Ndombele and perhaps Lo Celso and they may come good):

Lloris - was a top 5 world keeper, injured
Walker - left
Rose - wants to leave
Toby and Jan - aging
Wanyama and Dembélé - injured or aging
Alli - alarming loss of form
Eriksen - sulking

Jose has his work cut out when he came in

All good and fair points Adam, and if you think Jose didn't make the same sort of list as you before joining Spurs you're very much mistaken.

He must have known what he was letting himself in for, he just needs to sort it out rapidly.

Indeed, the absolute gracelessness of their success means it even impossible to even congratulate them. It’s like we should all bow down to the kings returning! If it was any other club we’d all be lauding them for being an excellent team! But no, it’s like we owe the something! So in return, fk off! When most people joke about hopefully the breakout out of WW3 stopping the dippers winning the league, it’s probably time to look at yourselves and think about why people think, anyone but them!
Considering all the crap that's gone on between our sets of fans on here in the past, one mildly wumming post after we beat you again, is nothing to get upset about. You need a thicker skin.

As for the WW3/anyone but them comment, the majority of people I talk football with want Liverpool to win it. The 2 main reasons being a fondness of Klopp and a dislike of how City buy success.

Wum in suggests getting thicker skin after wumming shocker.

And all the crap between our sets of fans got you permabanned for wumming.

And you're right about Klopp. He is likable. It is the insufferable fans that has people turning off football. You guys have proven time again that you aren't just embarrassing when losing. biggrin

Was it bad then years ago ?

Cannot agree about everyone loving Klopp & wanting Liverpool to win the league . Most of the people I talk to are absolutely dreading the thought of Liverpool being champions again

You are absolutely in cuckoo land if you believe the majority of people want Liverpool to win he league .

Love this irony, from the club for whose fans the term 'plastic' was initially defined.

hehe

Almost a shame. Would be a great match to discuss VAR (or the lack of) and tactics but the couple reasonable ones are muted by the multitude of trolls.

Aye. You don't get fans more plastic than Liverpool fans.

I'm not Liverpool, although I'm admiring their football this year, I just happen to live in a little bit of leafy (very) North Herts where Spursism is rife. Indeed, many of my immediate social circle are Spurs, and they will all pretty much agree that Spurs fans are fickle, in the extreme. The term 'plastics' was of course originally invented for Spurs fans, although it could equally apply to Arsenal, where the atmosphere is similarly ste.

Dreadful fans.

I thought you supported Sunderland Had Ham, plastic Geordie?

Hah, no.

Born and bred in Newcastle, dad played for them, didn't get on with him, decided to support Sunderland to spite him. Supported them since through thick and (lots of) thin - and was a shareholder until I got compulsory purchased by Niall and Drumaville. It's a cross I have to bare.

But, but.....

We're st - always have been, and always will be (with a few notable exceptions along the way) - but we have no delusions of grandeur, no stupid expectations, and despite being mid-table in fking League One, still get 30K at home and sell-out away every time. Plastic we're not.

A city of 250,000 people with only one football club - damn right it should be selling out 30,000 every time laugh
