I didn't see that one
I'm guessing that's what the ref said about Mane kicking Rose in the face too. Looked properly nasty, I think if Rose had have made something of it Mane would have been in trouble. That Fermino eye gouge was a shocker too, Jan should have been off for that.

I think on the first one Mane kicked the ball into his face at more or less the same time rose was heading it so his foot didn't actually touch him. That Fermino eye gouge was a shocker too, Jan should have been off for that.
The Firmino thing was obviously an accident but I suppose people have been sent off for less (eh Markovic for us in a European tie)
What's the definitive on the offside first goal. I thought if you didn't touch it then you didn't count or are we back to "interfering with play" now?

denying Spurs a blatant penalty.
That was the least blatant penalty I've seen in a long time. Most honest people will admit it didn't look remotely like a pen in real time. Although the replay from the perfect angle showed it was.
The blatant penalty was Van Dyke being held. If Oliver is so biased, why didn't he give it?

It's a stupid rule."... clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent ..."
How did his action impact the goalie? He'd already missed it hadn't he?
How an assistant referee is supposed to work that out is beyond me.

yep, in the pub with a mixture of fans including Spuds - no one called the penalty in real time (it was)love all the sofa refs saying it was blatant, when they'd be honking their guts up after 20 mins of refereeing to EPL standard

2) It was never a penalty on Van Dyke. So much so, even all the highlight shows failed to mention it.
Blinkered..
