Really uncharacteristically sloppy tonight. Seem to be on a cup hangover at the moment, but Bruno is a massive miss. We just don't have anyone of similar quality in midfield.
Maxi was better once the formation shifted following Willocks injury. Hoping that the injuries aren't too worrying because we lack quality replacements.

If only they had played as if they had any.ks. Trippier and Gordon and Pope were OK, the rest want their heads banging together.
Far to many errors, slack defending, midfield lacking control and forward line with no power.
Can't just be because Bruno got a red.

ASM I think thrives on game time. He's not going to come on and change things all the time as a sub.
I'm not looking to defend Maxi when he doesn't try, but I think he was really trying today but the lack of support down that left hand side meant that he didn't have an overlapping full back. Burn doesn't go forward whereas Miggy and Trips are always combining down the right hand side. Shame we couldn't take the opportunity to bring 3 points home yesterday. Again though, while I am disappointed, I have to keep contextualizing. We're still in 4th place with a game in hand over Tottenham (albeit with Liverpool and Man City coming up, not to mention a cheeky Cup final game)!
The squad still needs building and this last month or so has proved that, we all knew it and were happily riding the wave of disbelief pre-Christmas
