Every decision made here is down to the manager. There'll be no top 4 this season. Be interesting to see if he keeps his job. I'm not sure that the owners would be happy to see us as a mid table team.
Erm.... Who else would it be down to? The name kinda gives it away. hehe
Exactly. He thinks he's cleverer than he is. Has 4 strikers available, plays last week wing back up front instead. Has a 20 million centre back that HE wanted as his leader, play an old man squad filler instead. The man is deluded imo.
I think he's just a young manager trying to prove himself. He has made massive mistakes this year and especially this game, but I don't see anyone better for us right now.

He does have us playing better football than we where under Rafa/Hodgson/Evans.

Edit, given the money we have spent on defenders and who we let go in the summer, we have certainly taken a backwards step. Moreno and Sakho/Lovern are massive disappointments to me.

Harry nailed it saying that Can should be in midfield I would make GJ RB and take Joe off who is hiding

Whilst I agree with you on this, it isn't the defenders for me that are the main problem. The problem lies in the midfield (which let's face, has very few goals in it) and a strikeforce that is blunt or injured. Arsenal, Man Utd, even Man City all have their defensive issues too but where they make up for is a powerhouse of a midfield and strike force. We are extremely weak in both departments and hence have been troubled by the best teams in the league this year and were so impotent in the Champions League. Whether you like it or not, it comes back to the £120,000,000 that on the whole was pi$$ed away. As I said before, if an investment fund had showed such little return on their investment, we all know what would have happened to the fund manager by now, regardless if he had a team of investors that were choosing the investments.

No idea why both Lucas and Allen started this game. And of course Allen is back to being the player he has been for 95% of his time with us.

I just can't see what we're trying to build with this squad or formation.

Strange performance from Liverpool, very much end of season fodder. Where is the hunger?

Realistically, we have fluffed our way through the whole season with probably two or three good performances.
We are very lucky to be where we are.

This season

Lovren - fail
Moreno - fail
Laser - fail
Cann - can't get a game in the position he was bought for.
Mario - fail
Lallana - failed to have anywhere near the impact he had at Southampton
Lambert - fail

Arsenal should have been down to ten men there.

Would have made for an interesting end to the game.

£120 million on genuine belly fluff. Cann is only one with a long term future in my opinion, Lallana probably more as a squad player going forward. The rest well...

I can see us getting turned over by Blackburn. Easily too.

Silly by Can there. But I'm not sure why he was now playing wing back.

The manager is clueless. What next, Sturridge as centre back?

3 seasons in and we've not improved under this man.

We have definitely improved since King Kenny's reign but just not enough and certainly not proportional to the transfer money spent. We are playing a better brand of football but still way to average in way too many areas.

Rodgers should be begging for forgiveness after this team selection. He definitely can't blame the grass this time either.

Indefensible, inept and complete incompetence. I genuinely hope he's sacked in the summer. I despise that our club has to bring in a manager who has never won anything.

I'm hoping Horney will be along shortly to let us know if that was:
A: a shoeing
B: a pantsing
C: a gubbing
D: all of the above

All of the above, plus embarrassing & shameful. Considering how poor the league is, we are very very poor indeed

Yes, the Sack the Manager premiership.

It was not very long ago that "fans" were posting or radio phone in calls "Venger must go". Don't see that much now .. Wonder why.....rolleyes

When the final whistle blows this season, there will be nineteen loser teams.
